Perhaps offer the support tools as an optional kit.
I'm betting that most folks who will be tackling this installation will have all these basic tools already.

Stop asking Jerry all these questions! ![grr](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/cussing.gif)
The more time Jerry spends typing, the less time he's working on getting these done in time for the PCA Parade. I'm signed up for the concours and a set of these is critical to success....![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Anyone else going to Traverse City?

Oh, and I also include a Sharpie Marker for the markings that are necessary to locate where to drill the holes.
Actually I myself even found it quite handy when I did these first three installs to have all of the items necessary right in the box of kit items which I simply opened with each job. All I had to carry of my own to the job was the drill, the disc sander and my nut driver. I would have had my own unibit too, but I left it home; and that is something that is not too common to most guys I know.

You might have to skip the glue for the overseas crowd depending on the type glue. I’ve helped customs screen packages before and alcohol-based products “glow” on their screens. But so does hot sauce—go figure. Really looking forward to these Jerry; they're going to be awesome!

I am interested to see if it reduces the decibel level at the rear which is the whole purpose of the full wheel liner. Hard plastic will make a lot of noise with road debris and water. Porsche used a different material along with closed foam sound proofing to reduce road noise in the rear of the GTS. Protecting the PSD was already taken care of with the flat panels in the 90/91 cars. Interested to hear (no pun intended) noise feedback in a variety of situations.
After Jerry left I took the Turq for a 30 mile spin through numerous road conditions. These liners are rock solid and an exponential improvement over the stock liners.
The sound attenuation is very significant. In fact, I was really surprised at just how effective they are. The lining material on the inner part of the liners is substantial and works to great effect. Granted I had no liner before but I can say without question the car is much quieter now. Remember, I installed plenty of Dynamat in that region of the car during the refresh. I thought that would have dampened the noise somewhat but the car was still pretty loud without the liners. The 6.5 liter stroker and custom exhaust might have had something to do with it, but the car now has modern car sound levels at freeway cruising speeds. At a sanctioned WOT run, only total deafness could attenuate the sound of the exhaust of my car

Jerry, thanks so much for the extra efforts. Worth every penny. Quality product, super solid in structure and they perform better than I would have thought.
One important point, though the install times may seem significant due to the idiosyncratic nature of hand built super cars, I suspect average removal and replacement of the liners to be in the 20-30 min ranger per side. The time consuming part of the initial install is the locating of the brackets (no need to remove them again unless they are damaged - they are not in the way of any other systems) and the connecting of the two ABS halves in the wheel well. Each hole requires the mounting, marking, removal, drilling, re-install and clipping. Now installed, it is a simple matter of removing the round press fit clips (replaceable and available at all auto parts chain stores from what I can tell) and the four bolts that hold the liners to the brackets. Jerry has even fabricated a special set of pulling pliers to ease the removal of the press fit clips.
I am very impressed with the fit, finish and thought of these desperately needed 928 liners. I'm waiting for a set for the Zyclamrot 90 S4. I'm sure Jerry has designs for the earlier cars as well.
Thanks Jerry, these were a long time coming, but worth the wait.

Thanks, Dan, for such a great report. I'm really pleased about the improvement in sound level reduction, even though I don't offer any kind of promise for any particular level of noise reduction.

Please don't include anything with liquid content - most adhesives can't be shipped internationally.
Annoyingly its the shipping companies who are the problem.. fedex, dhl, tnt, usps all refuse to ship them.. no problem receiving them at this end. So all the good stuff like DAP Weldwood we can't get over here

edit: Yes Jerry, the two part plumbing glue that welds the plastic is commonly available everywhere

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

There are only two places on these WW LIners where the glue is used prior to the installation process and that is on the fairly substantial doubler along the inside of the bottom inner edge of each of the the inner Liner halves. They are there to keep that surface stiff to avoid it flapping around while moving at high speed, together with the channel that is formed along the bottom edge of that surface which fits up over the bottom frame flange.
This eliminates the need to locate and drill the four holes in the surface that the original liners have that use the plastic clips to stabilize this surface. Those holes get plugs, also provided.
The other only other places the glue is used is to install the ABS plastic washer-like doublers around each of the holes that are drilled in the field to mount the Liners to the mounting brackets. These are important both for strength and for spacing.

Jerry,
Black ABS (pipe) glue is certainly widely available in the UK - so I'm sure its also available in the rest of Europe & OZ too (and most other ~civilized places)...

It's commonly available over here with a red dye in it, to verify that cleaner has been used on PVC pipe, and to visually show that the extruded pipe is free of release agent, and is sufficiently 'etched' for the glue to bond. You can also buy it without the dye, which is what I get for cleaning ABS prior to solvent jointing, and to make my own specific colour ABS glue, by adding ground ABS.
