Jerry, when this thread popped back up it reminded me that I'd seen your name tag out of the corner of my eye, when I was running around the corner of the building to find someone for one of the tech sessions. I'm kicking myself for not having taken 15 seconds and introducing myself, but will make a point of it next year. .

I didn't realize you had brought a show and tell, we need to have a set of tables at SF12 for all the ingenious, independent, cottage industry guys!

Absolutely, positively put me down for a set of liners when you're good and ready- the new Sharkwoofer/DSP/active equalizer setup that Hans installed is so good that I'm going to need to re-evaluate my currently-insufficient sound deadening situatioon. Having naked rear wheel wells contributes a lot to cockpit noise.....

I met Jerry and got to see the liners firsthand. They are better than a work of art. They are so precisely formed that they look like they were pressed in a million dollar die mold. Supernice!

Thanks Rob for the interest. Thanks Bill for the positive feedback. I hope these liners will measure up to such high praise.

Hi Jerry - Any update on the liners? My current liners have now crumbled to the point they're falling out. Today, Porsche dealer quoted 800 euro each for replacements. There's no way I'm going to pass a safety inspection next year. Just wondering before I start getting creative and cut up black trash cans to make temporary liners. Thanks!

EU countries require liners to pass inspection? YIKES!

Hi Guys. I have not abandoned this project in any way and in fact work on almost every day and for sure every weekend. I hate to put a time frame, because I hate to have my creative outlet driving my life, but I admit that I did tell Tony 77 that I hope to have these going to some degree by Xmas. So, I suppose that now that I have said it more broadly, that is going to be my goal.

Thanks for staying interested in this project. I'll continue to do this almost exclusively and to stay focused. Stay with me.

I was able to go to 3C, but in my truck. I took some of my various projects for show and tell, but brougt most of it back, save several of the spare tire covers I am making.

I took some of my latest blows of the wheel well liners and got some positive feedback. I know there is a lot of interst in these and I am trying to make the grade with the development.

This weekend I was able to assemble the form for the outer half based on the latest version of the S4 wheel well opening that I have been developing. I made one blow yesterday and found that it fits in about three of the five perameters. I worked the form over a little and made another blow this morning and found that it fits in about four of the five perameters, but the last one took more adjustment than the others, so now I am waiting for the epoxy to cure so I can refinish the wheel arch part of the form again.

I think that when I do the next blow I may actually have the outer half of the S4 liners right on point. From that I think I can get the GTS version of the outer half of the liners done in good time. On the other hand, it occurs to me that I might still need another GTS car here for final fitting; so I am beginning to think about having Herman and Barbara come here as our guests for a few days to see if he and I can get these done for the GTS cars, in particular. I really want these to be just right for all of the cars and am getting very close for the S4 and all the others, but the GTS is really my target for these, as you all already know.
