Jerry,
Here are a couple of choices for boxes that are pretty close.

I have used ULINE before and had very good luck with them.

Hi Bruce and all. As usual I haven't made as much progress as I woud have hoped. but I have made some. Too, I have been working more with metal than plastic since the mounting brackets to put these liners in the cars need to be made from aluminum sheet rather than plastic, so I am in the middle of working up the tooling to make them and make them duplicatable.
I have the major GTS top mounting brackets designed and prototypes fabbed, but I have a delima. That is that it occurs to me that the two brackets should be essentially syhmetrical, but the way Herman and I made the plastic mock-ups, which we made from liners in place are not. I hate to have anyone bring a GTS over here just to verify that Herman and I were right, but I also hate to work up all the tooling for a piece that isn't right. I guess I'll just have to gamble on it.
I am going to order some material (aluminum in 6061 T6, .050 think) and try to finalize the tooling, maybe this week. Then I should be part way there with the other mounting brackets since they will use the same tooling.
I think the plastic forms are pretty well finalized, but I haven't blown any liners with them in their present form. That will be the final phase, I suppose, plus some tooling to finish them out with.

Thanks Gary. Although sometimes I am controlled by the out-of-sight-out-of-mind syndrome, I don't think that is what is holding me up a little with this project. I think what I need is a GTS, or, it has just occurred to me, part of a GTS, the rear part.
I find that there is just too much refinement of the GTS version of these liners and their mounting points or brackets that requires me to have a GTS here to work with. It was great when Herman and Barbara brought their GTS here for some design work, but I find that I really need to have one here longer term for fitting purposes. I had actually given some fond thought of trying to buy the recent GTS that James bought, but that was just too far out of reach.
What occurs to me that might be the solution to my needs and that might fit my budget is a GTS stripped-out tub or the rear part of one that is in good shape that I could pick up somewhere, anywhere, and haul home and use it for my fitting. I hear occasionally on this forum that someone is taking what is left of their part-out wrecked or burned-out car to the scrap yard; so I wonder if such a thing might be available or come available as a GTS. Anyone know of such a thing?
Otherwise I am going to keep developing the brackets with what I have and developing the tooling I'll need to make them on a repetitive basis. I'll be back on that soon since I am about done with this Cowl Cover project I took on in this interim.
The Bump helped, but this project has been on my mind every day and that usually means progress of some sort.

Liner time
Jerry I would be willing to come back and stay a little longer after the risk of getting snowed in along the route has tapered of.
However I know some of the guys are getting desperate as they have their expensive PSD units exposed to the elements perhaps you should consider selling them the liners as they are now and let them make their own brackets to fit.
I know that’s not how you like to do it but considering peoples needs right now you would make a lot of them very happy with what you can supply them with right now.
I know I would be if I was driving around without any liners in place.
Jerry just do it!
All the best my friend

For me (and I know I’m just one customer), I see I have two options before Spring gets here: buy these and figure out a way to attach them; or, buy s4 liners and fill in the gaps. I would without question prefer your solution as it exists today because of the quality of your work and helping the 928 community. I accept the risk of fitment and would even send you pictures/notes to help you on revisions for future customers. Hell, I’d strap a camera to my head and give you near-real-time video and skype.
As I’ve shared before, I have an inspection coming up. The inspectors won’t have a clue what the PSD is, but they’re going to know whatever it is, it shouldn’t be exposed. I assume the same would be true for the fuel lines on the passenger side. Taking a rock at 150 on the autobahn would suck.
In the words of Patton: "A good plan violently executed right now is far better than a perfect plan executed next week". Let me know Jerry; seriously, I’m happy to help.
And as a guy watching this from afar, it suck that Herman has to drive all the way from Dallas and no one closer with a GTS is willing to help the cause. Just sayn'.

GTS Liners
Jerry, dont mean to pile on but I have to agree with other posts. I recently did a PSD flush and was amazed, even after reading other stories, at how brittle the original liners are at this time. At the just the slightest touch the liner disintegrated like potato chips. Sure wish I was close to allow you the opportunity to do more fitment.
As for the PSD being exposed I crudely fabricated a metal panel to at least try to protect it and it seems to be working so far.
Please keep up the good work.

Jerry - me too - more than happy to work out the install brackets myself. I do have S4 splash shields there now (+ more) - so not so urgent for me... But more than happy to do this myself and even share details after mounting is figured out - locations, sizing, materials etc...

Jerry,
I'll chime in on working on brackets for my car if I had the liners. I took my liners out 5 years ago to flush the PSD, and they were so brittle, I'm amazed I got them back. Put S4 front and rear liners over top of them to fill up the "holes". I even used a reversed left side rear S4 liner on the right side. Now - I am going to flush again this month, and would really like to not have to spend all my time praying that the liners are re-usable!!! There are other things in my life I need to use that time and prayers to address!!
Let me know if there is any way I can be of help - can't really drive to western CO however.
Cheers, and a BIG Thank you for all your work and accomplishments on this already.

Jerry, I also agree with the others. Are you coming to Spring Fling? We will have several GTS's there and I know Tony has some shop capabilities nearby. We can mod your existing brackets or at minimum give you the opportunity to take additional measurements.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jim. I had discounted coming there because it is such a long drive, but with your suggestion in mind I am going to give it some further consideration. Maybe I can get prototypes of several of the brackets made and bring them down and see how they are going to work. Good idea.
