I like the Holiday Inn.

Its the newest hotel in town.

(and therefore, the least smelling like contract-trucker cigarettes, no matter WHAT the no smoking sign in the room says).

Thats where I am, I have a double king suite..so I have room for one more...if anyone's interested in cost shaving.

Its going to be fun to see all the different variations of our cars on track all at once.

I have a running motor in my car so things are looking good.

I like the Holiday Inn as well, Beer at Casa Roma is mandatory

Question for you guys...what brake packages are you guys using?

Stock S4 gear, or larger?

dinner + many drinks at Casa Ramos is mandatory like Sean says.....at least for Sean and I....its a ritual!!!!

Holiday Inn is very nice...the nicest place there for sure! However on my measily budget I might have to use something cheaper!!!!

For brakes......Kibort runs S4 calipers on larger 13" rotors....Sean runs GTS brakes and I run stock S brakes.... For my 1st 6-7 trackdays I used stock S4 brakes on my street car...just added good fresh fluid...never had a brake issue...but I wasn't pushing super hard either.....If you do have a brake problem I have plenty of 580F fluid & a bleeder at the shop....I also have quite a few S4 pads I got for free a while back....

ah, do I have to hustle to get that engine built!!????

Ill have it apart tonight, pistons to the shop this week, but I need your old engine to get the heads to them to check out too.

Ordering the headgaskets from 928intl too. should be on their way. I should have everything else I need to finish the short block . then, you will have 2 weeks for the CT boys to drop it in your car.

I'm gonna run my basically stock 80 5spd, 4.5L, L-jet, headers, y-pipe, S4 brakes + stock pads, 18" cIII's 235f/275r, S springs, new boges and steel balljoints, freshly aligned. It's el mucho quick.

I still need to replace the front shifter cup, change tranny fluid, bleed the brakes... right after I get the red 79 running, off jack-stands, and out of the way.

Only running Saturday since Sunday requires a full blown race car with log book, cage, etc. Rolling up Friday, home Sunday. Looking forward to seeing all you like-minded nuts.

Default Paddock together

Hey,

Lets gather in one place..

Brain,
you make the call where to "stage".
Running or watching.

Show the other "wanna be's" that the 928's are here!!

I will be running Sat and Sunday....race prepped on Sat with HOD and the 928 class on Sunday with Rick-Sean and MK.... I might do the open track day on Friday....but will show up on Friday either way....

The easiest place to find the "928" crowd is either under one of the canopies or back at shop 17 where Sean and I keep our 928's....either way we will be easy to spot!! While the shop is slightly further away that the canopies, there always is plenty of parking since its rare another shop is open other than MCE.... So if you are driving or watching.....I would start at shop 17 and go from there.....we will be easy to spot!!!

Well..from the South SF Bay Area, Im hoping that Mike and I will leave at Noon Friday..that'll get us there well by 330ish, time for a kip then drinks and dinner! (unless we wanna show up and watch T&T earlier in the day..I shouldnt assume)

Where to meet there? Well, we'll lose sunlight at about 5:10..

Now...depending what time last session is, I'll ask Ray at the track if we can go park on top of T9 end of day Saturday, for a great near-sunset photo if we like..
