With good paint and modern wheels, most non car folks are shocked to learn my car is almost 25 years old.

While mine is in good shape, it is dated with out a doubt.
Putting the Carputer and a bunch of Pauls C work in will change a lot of that.

I think In RKD,s post of the Cup and C3 wheels comparison, that the cup style rims look . . . umm more factory or i don't know, better, to me anyway.

I have those on my car and I have been looking at every rim out there.
It wasn't until I saw the comparison post half way down page 1 that I noticed that both car pictures look the same.

The different wheels don't make that much of a change IMO

They may look ok from the side, but from the rear they were so narrow and pushed out to the edge of the GTS fenders, that it gave the car a tricycle look.

Saw this 85 or 86 S at SITM '08.

Also, there is a seller on eBay called eurowheelsusa that I bought my aftermarket set from for I believe under $700. I don't see any Carrera III's listed in his store currently, but he may still carry them?

I contacted Eurowheelsusa today, their reply on C3 wheels..if they would have more soon

Most likely not sorry the manufacture went out of business

Well, I am looking for CIII wheels too but I prefer the lightweights from the 996 despite the less than optimal front offset.

Any thoughts on finding some of those guys? Also want to paint the lip guards red and the body of the wheel black...thoughts on that?

I could go with the 997 CIII wheel and do the same thing with them if the right deal came along...

I think that'd look awesome...whats the weight difference? Just curious, I wont care -too- much myself.

Im on the forever search of the yes/no answer if the 11s fit the S4 without more work than rollin the lip up.

Im goin with this, and will work thru the tire size issues, and see where I go.

Thanks Andrew for the detail.

Speedtoys,
Do you plan to hook up a S/C?
Otherwise that's a ton of rear meat, and will eff w/the car's balance in the corners.

I know...young man... Was that the ONLY year though? I don't think so. I remember seeing those wheels a lot for awhile anyway. Love them. Maybe I'll just steal the ones out of (or off of if they are mounted) YOUR CAR! That would save me some $$$$ too!

I don't think they were just that year, they are the Carrera lightweight, and I think that MY02 is just the nomenclature. I could be wrong though.
