i confirm the same. my S4 has factory GTS flares and I had to remove the factory spacers to fit them. I used the H&R DRM 21mm spacer which comes with the studs so it was an easy swap. They fit perfectly with a 295 rear.

Bringing this one back.

I just took the previous C3 rims off (18x8 F, 18x10 R) the GTS and test fitted the new 18x11 rear wearing 295 Potenzas.......they look 'tight'.

Danny suggests switching out the spacer to a smaller version.......has everyone had to do this with their GTS ?

Its not possible to use much smaller version as there aren't enough threads in bolts. Best option is to remove long bolts and install same short ones what are used at the front. After that its possible to use any bolt on spacer which start from 14 or 15mm thick and go up from that in few mm steps. I have done that and have 42mm with 9x17 ET55 Cup II wheels and 275 tires. Gets really close to fender but will not rub at all. Other wheels I have require 25mm spacers to be at same depth. Only problem is that original bolts are very difficult to get out without removing hub. When its taken out its likely bearing will be destroyed. Makes sense to change to short bolts at same time when bearing is changed.

Malcolm, FYI, my S4 has GTS factory rear and I too test fitted them with the 28mm factory spacer. They would rub 100%. So the 21mm guaranteed its the solution. Someone here on this board prompted me to change to the 21mm with the 11inch rears. Actually the suggestion was to go with 15mm, but it would be too much hassle to get these spacers off and on and the time I was looking for an easy swap to accommodate the second set I have , were the rears are 10". So I measured and figured the 21mm which come with the studs and are the same type as the factory would fit perfectly. Thankfully I was correct.

Malcolm,
I've been running the CIII''s for several years.
I pulled the factory spacers off the GTS and installed 15mm hubcentric spacers.
Re-installed using open lug nuts, as the factory ones would bottom out on the long studs. I then installed the factory lugs over the open lugs for a "factory" look.
All works good.
Btw, the CIII''s are 18x11 ET51. I run Michelin pilots
295/35.

I took my 21mm factory spacers to a machine shop and had them milled down to about 15mm. Perfect fit on my 86.5.

Excellent input folks......I'll take the OEM spacers off and source 'thinner' components.

I remember your car well from Witchita Chuck......love the look

Malcolm,
I just looked in my records. They are H&R 15MM WHEELS SPACERS for Porsche bold pattern. I bought them at Automotion, but could NOT find them on thier website.
I looked up the product and found it here:
http://www.trakplus.com/

On my way out the door, so not too much time to search, but I found this:
http://www.gmpperformance.com/index....ail&PID=226978

I think that's WAY too expensive. I paid $135.00 plus shipping about 4 year ago and I doubt they've gone up too much. Keep searching and see what you can find on fleebay, etc.
I'll look too when I get back from our New Year's Day party.

Hit me back w any questions.

thx Chuck........I'll reach tomorrow after everyone is back from celebrating and I need something creative to do when at work

Of much interest, to me anyway, I took the right rear space off this aft and it measures ~38mm, is date stamped 92/1 with part number 928 331 611 0R which matches the PET spacer number

thx Danny but the GTS has a 38mm spacer not 28mm in your car........Im going to fit the wheels without any spacer and measure thinking that Chucks 15mm is probably the solution for my car.

thx for the input

Hmm... I always thought it was 28. I will measure it to confirm. They are certainly very chunky!

Will measure it tonight and let you know.
