Sorry for coming in late...

While we were checking out the small Bonneville car, we found that the rear tires expanded significantly at speed. Photos later showed that this was true on the salt as well.

It appeared that for us, tire growth almost exactly cancelled out tire slippage on the salt, so that calculated speed at RPM was almost exactly on.

Much slower car (143 mph) and less power (about 145 hp), skinny tires on salt, so not too much applicable to your run.

BTW - we did set four records that week.

Hi

It doesnt say "Official" it says ... UK record, which it is...

If you are bothered about it, you run faster than 208 in the UK and I will take them off lol

All the best Brett

It does look good, but its nothing that you will feel, ESPECIALLY, since you have a channel that feeds the radiator, and all that air approaching the car cant be absorbed by the radiator, so where does the air go? Yep, under the car. the air needs a path to the sides to be an effective splitter, or you better have a path out the hood!

Plus, ive done all the pressure tests on a splitter much larger all over its surface area. the effects are not noticeable at "freeway" speeds, but if well designed, at 80mph, you will have some thing noticeable happen, if its designed well.

Good idea but first I have to declare my 928 to be the fastest in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada. Or I can just take my SC off the car, fly to the other side of the pond, buy a 928 and blow the doors off the UK record holder's car in the 1/4 mile.

I am not even sure if mine is the fastest in Sharpsburg.
Never been stupid enough to see just how fast it will go.

You can just declare it no need to go out and actually do it!

Sorry to necro this thread but I couldn't help myself-

I agree- I call BS...

Had this really occurred in what we term, 'reality,' your car would have been headed to the junk heap and you would have smeared into road pizza.

Sorry man...but if you don't have indisputible evidence, it's all just a delusion...

Ummm...you car is an automatic by the pics you posted...under your NOS interior controls...correct?
Whatever you're drinking...get me a double because it sure does make the world look rosey...
