Default Small coolant drip.

Today I saw a drip of coolant(Small dot) on the garage floor. It's coming from the centre. . This is the second time already.

I will bring the car for a pressure test soon after the AC repair tomorrow- i'm bringing it back to the mechanic who did my Timing belt.

Little facts:
I change my Timing belt last two weeks ago. Before the timing belt change: no leaks or whatsoever & the water pump is still in very good condition according to the mechanic.
After the timing belt change- The next two days - i notice a small drip of coolant coming from the centre- I call the mechanic- He said it should be the left overs from the old coolant the been drain out & being flash around the engine area- So I drive it around for the past two weeks-The coolant level in the tank is OK-no loss or low coolant level etc. So no coolant drip for the past weeks then until today I notice the drip.
What are the possibilities?

1) Water pump? I hope it's not & it's still strong according to the mechanic. My car has only 1k miles on it. Well if if is- Might as well wait for the modified version done by obhave?

2) Lose hose? I notice some coolant on some area as shown in the pics below.

Please advice.

It can be a loose hose clip. Check all of them. 6 if I remember well.
If it is not any clip, check the waterpump bolts. They should be at 10 Nm or 7 Lftlbs.
He did change the gascket hey? Did he? Hope so.

The coolant that you can see near the oil filler neck is probably a left over from the old coolant. It can droped there when you remove the hose right over.

Good luck.

What gasket? He did change the gasket located behind the PKtensioner.

Water pump- He did not disturb.

If's its leftover- Should it be dried up by now?(2 weeks plus) I see the coolant looks fresh & very wet.

Ok I see, he did not change the water pump so did not disturb it.
I would have change it. But that's me.

Make sure both hose clips right over are tight enough.

Probably just hose clips need tightening. If the hoses are old I was told it's a good idea to warm up engine and re-tighten them while they are hot/soft.

I just redid the water bridge/thermostat, a small drip light seepage. Not enough to notice in fluid level but annoying. Thankfully a cheap repair, talk to Roger!

Mop up the coolant and see if it reappears. Coolant does not evaporate rapidly. I had what looked like a leak from the top of the water pump and it turned out I left the clamp loose on the small hose right above it.

If not a hose clamp, then check for a leak from the large "O" ring for the Thermostat housing to top of the block.
This is too high to be tensioner or any water pump "bolts" related. note: water flows down hill

if your having a water pump leak it will drip down the center of the engine and appear on the center of the oil pan.
If ther is coolant above the crankshaft damper then its either a loose hose or the thermostat housing is leaking,
So double check all of the hose clamps and also consider that one of the hose connections may be leaking due to corroded fittings or worn inside hoses

It looks like the water outlet nipple had a lot of chalky gunk on it. Was that cleaned off thoroughly? If not it could be leaking past that.

+1 on Waterbridge and/or thermostat. One of the allen bolts is tricky to remove. Search here, you will find a very good write up w/pics.
