Crap! I've been dreaming of owning a Zermatt Silver GTS for years. Zermatt is my favorite color of all time. And then to have my dreams dashed on the rocks at the sight of that hideous interior color!

If it had been any normal interior I'd own that thing in a New York second. Wait, I better read the description first to see if anything's wrong with it.

Sweet! Looks like a Japanese import?

(Dave, there might be a minor issue with importing it to the states).

Dave,

Don't worry about it...that car is a Jap. market car and you would have a HELL OF A TIME getting it in to the US! If you dropped it off at a Registered Importer it would probably set you back $12k+, if you provided all the parts they needed to get it DOT/EPA legal then you might could get that down to $7500. Either way, you end up with a VERY, VERY expensive GTS!

I hope these fender extensions can be removed without visible holes.

There are screws that hold them on from the factory...

I see the Japanese fender flares, but then, why does it have left hand drive? I thought Japanese cars were right hand drive.

No worries, the interior color is a deal killer anyway.

3 or 4 years ago I saw a Zermatt Silver GTS on Willhoit's site. I should have bought it then, but at least I know there's one somewhere in the U.S. Maybe even 2 or 3.

There are 3 or 4 at least... LuxJet used to live in OK, William A in SoCal has one that was used in the Porsche "Family Tree" commercial, Low Miler had one that sold to the owner of a Ford dealership in NY (or something like that) and I want to say there are one or two more even... Those are all Auto's. LuxJet may have been the one Willhoit had. A friend of mine owned that one (he was second owner I believe) and it was the FIRST GTS I ever saw...I fell in love too! Zermatt is a GREAT COLOR!!!!

SQLGuy, TONS of Euro cars exported from Germany to Japan over the years. They did not have to change drivers position but DID have to add those ugly *** fender extensions!

I like the ext and int colors. Great offset effect and unique. I even like the fender extensions on the Japanese cars. No rub strips all original, very very nice car is it has been maintained.

Not just used imports for Germany. Dealers sold new LHD cars with full Japanise spec. Infact most Japanise spec cars are LHD, especially GTS.

I knew Erkka would come up with the numbers! Keeper of the numerical flame! AMAZING how few RHD cars were built! ONE each in '94 and '95...WOW!

Dave,
Even though it is my personal opinion that 928's were available with some of the best color options of any car made, Zermat Silver may be the best I have seen that showcase the subtle beauty of the 928.

And even though it is a 5spd, you may not like it. Check the carpet! Actually, for me a favorite feature.

I almost balked buying the car for the rub strips, but I came to my senses. Someday they will be gone...
