I think this would be a more appropriate bacon button for automotive applications. Maybe for Hans' new PSD defeat switch?

I have to admit, some one else is going to have to try the fourth button before I do.
It made me a little uneasy to think you could get a prostrate exam while driving.

You guys are funny. A little weird ... but funny

Even funnier is the fact that I can actually do it, and I would not be surprised if it was requested

Even better, with the custom interface left open and your custom work, we can do James Bond stuff, or Jim Bob stuff here in Dixie.

Well, the new display is all assembled. Couldnt wait till tonight, so brought everything down to the office and finished it up here this morning.

I should be able to start work on testing tonight. It had better work.

Attached are a couple more pics of the assembled unit, and the old climate control board. Now that I am having better success with SMD at home, I will revise the controller for as much SMD components as possible, including going back to the isoface driver. that should shrink the board to a very small footprint. I may even be able to strap it behind this board, but would need to make another small board with the card-edge and an IDC connector to make the harness to extend to the factory interface.

Thanks
Hans

At one time I was considering casting custom ***** for this project, but I am not sure I can commit to that process at this point in time. Its messy, time consuimg, requires a dedicated casting area otherwise your setup time will kill you... and with all the other projects I am working on, I really think I am going to have to include and off-the-shelf **** with the kit... at least for now. The shaft on these encoders is a standard 0.25", so there are plenty of other ***** out there which fit. It may also be possible to twist my arm in the future to run a large set of custom *****.

Is anyone diametrically opposed to these as the standard options?

The first set of ***** is very similar to the latter 944 and 968 ****. It is just knurled instead of the vertical grooved grip... its also aluminum and about 30% the cost of a replacement 968 ****. These would wear better than a cast part, and because they are metal, could be refinished for custom projects.

Thanks,
Hans

Noooooo don't ask questions like this, just tell everyone these are the options. Too many choices delay production. Custom cast ***** can be version 2, I want Version 1 already

These options oughta please most anyone, and if they'ree 0.25" shafts people can sub what they like. Door #4 for me- Gotta have black, and the the rubber oring is a tactile shoutout to the old factory rubberized *****.

I'll take number 4 thanks.
