Again, I meant nothing negative with my post, just that some may not understand that the new controls are still controlling a 30 year old design.

Now, this is what happens when you try and please everyone
Greg, there is no doubt that the AC system is not precise enough to hold a set temp. But in good working condition, it will hover around it.
When we first started this, we designed the front-end with an OLED screen for temp feedback. Most everyone said it was unnecessary. We came back with an LED array and the consensus seemed to prefer we go back to an actual number.
There is an impressive amount of hours being wasted here guys. Please let us complete a working solution, and then I can attempt to customise the face to different tastes.
I promise, Hans and I will do our best to make it better than the original
As it stands now, we are working on two versions: one with ***** and one without. Both of which will have a LED screen for temp and fan speed display. We are trying to please everyone.

I fully understand that both of you want to give the customer the product they want, but you guys have to be doing this out of love for the car, cause you are never going to get a return on the R&D time.

All of this, as been for the love of the car. Most of my work is for that reason as well. If not, my answer would be much different when people ask me if my seat prices are for one seat or both
Thanks again for your help and support and also to all the rest of you who are supporting us on this project.

Well, I to those of you who I spoke with at SITM regarding the planned announcements on this thread - I apologize. I just couldn't get to it this week. Had an incredibly busy week at the office. I was supposed to go out for routine maintenance at our production facility, and the server crashed Friday night. Been working on it since (typing from a server closet now). Not a fun weekend.
I have a busy Monday, and a tradeshow in Cincinnati Tuesday morning, but plan to get all the threads updated (Carputer, speakers, sharkwoofer, window switches... etc) by mid-week. We have lots of news and updates that we would like to share, and I apologize again for the delay.
Please keep an eye out for the updates, likely to post around Wednesday evening. I plan on staying at the office late that day and pumping the updates out, I will stay as long as it takes.
Thanks,
Hans

We are working on a series of updates guys.
We have the second generation of window switch panels shipping in a few days and are about ready to post a new thread on the complete console upgrade, including the new AC controls.
Thank you all for your patience

Yes, much closer. We appreciate your patience. Lots of things are taking place - just in the background. We do value everyone's opinion, but starting in June we adopted a policy where we though it would be better to keep developement more internalized to get a finished product out to the community faster. Many as the suggestions made throughout the thread that were feasible and cost effective have been implemented (including an LCD display in the climate control). We will post some renderings and updates when they have been tested and move on to the production phase.
Thank you for your continued interest.
Thanks
