Sorry I should have updated this earlier.
I have had a lot of problems with the Y duct to the MAF. The ones sold for the Corvettes on eBay and the like are to erratic in availability and price for my liking.
I ordered a large batch from China directly from the manufactures and that was simply a Cluster F***k to say the least. At least I got my money back but still no Y ducts.
Ordered a large batch through a local fabricator/machine shop that does a lot of work for me and the prototype was test fitted on my GTS last Thursday.
I also had them design a flange for fitment to the MAF which I feel will be better than the sleeve we have used on all the units supplied so far.
Hopefully we will be shipping again in mid December.

The earlier units are coming on but most of my efforts have been resolving the manufacturing issues on the later style.

Is the MAF diameter the same as the CIS?
I think I mesured mine at something like 5" 1/4 way back... but not sure. And I'm not finding anything of that size around.

Roger,
If you make the collars are you going to make them to allow for the 4 or 5 inch pipes out back? When I made the collars at first some were saying don't need them but thats the only way to go for bigger size pipes to be fitted out back.
The top one is the 3 1/2" and lower is with the 4inch pipes. With more angle I still think 5" pipes would fit out back that is what I am working on now, might try 4inch fans also and if they do work then will be ready for 5inch if needed.
I took the system off last night to prepare for my next project.

Default For those interested in the 16V intake...

We had a successful fit-up of the 16V EIS on both a '84 US and Euro.
Looks promising to have something for the "barn door" AFM 80-84 & MAF 84-86 16V'rs.

Next we'll be looking at Beta prototype refinements, and Beta testing. Feel free to express interest as a Beta tester to me via PM.

Merry Christmas!

PS. Thanks Landseer for making your cars and time available to do this fit-up! Feel free to post pics of the Euro here.

Good question.
I had a bunch of cars apart at once.
Might be the wrong ones.

If they are and in good shape, they are worth their weight in gold.

Imre,
They are not tubes from the early 32V.
Since they are smaller diameter, do not fit the intake prototype in this configuration.

Not sure if you are running the 4inch canisters but to save alot of cost
you might want to try this instead of all the extra fabrication on the ends
of the Y pipe and the cost of the canister.

Cut Y pipe to around 7 or 8 inches long or just enough which allows for
the rubber to be clamped easy.
Since the 4 inch tubes have the inserted filters the outlets of those
filters are around 3inches which would flow directly into the 3.5 Y pipe.
The opening on the 3.5 Y pipe may vary depending on wall thinkness used
but usually is around 3.2 to 3.3 inches so the 3inch opening of the filter
dumps right into the Y pipe without all the fabrication to areas marked A and B.
Using the 4 inch straight rubber and the reducing rubber inserts.

The rubber inserts can also be trimmed back some to put the filter right
flush against the Y pipe if needing more space. That may give room also
so you won't have too buy the expensive Cobra rubbers.I am having my
reducer trimmed back so there isn't any space between the Y pipe and
4 inch pipe which gives me more room so I dont have to use the cobra
style rubber, less cost and better flow.

Talking of the fabrication of the 2 outlets from the Y pipe to the canisters you wouldn't need all that fabrication areas marked A and B,marked it now in the other post.

Mark,
There was no room to fit the filter cannisters where you have them - no space.

Roger,
Thanks for answer. Those 5inch I put in were just for fit to see how much room there was.Running the same 4inch pipe.If you get into the later models ones with alittle more angle those reducers may help to fit the 5" filters out on later model.I needed about another inch shorter out back to fit those and the reducer gave me enough room on those for the later models. There was 2 ways to do it either reducer or welded collar but instead of going away from the Y pipe go back towards it gains more space.

What Roger said, 31" max, bow to port - a real difficult stack-up.
It was critical work with Spectre's design and maintain is functional intent as close as possible.
Roger, he's right about the cobrahead elbows, they're pricey - $36 each. I bet you'll be able to better that.
