Do you do marketing for a pharmaceutical/financial organization? Just kidding, but the choices, as many have indicated above, go too far in preconditioning responses. Try yes/no/undecided/no opinion. Nobody will like these choices, and the commentary will be even more partisan I'll bet, but it will force a few more choices out of this fractious and motley crew. Flamesuit ON!

I love my 928, I never wanted anything else. Its spiritual for me and Dr. Phill & Suze Orman says thats ok I have a Honda that held it's value. I would sell it in a heartbeat to buy more parts if needed

As a new owner of a 928, I won't vote in the poll, as I have no basis for a bias, YET. I think it's pretty awesome some of the points brought out in some of the replies to this poll. As some people only saw the cost of this hobby affecting their bank account in relationship to the car, others have a much deeper understanding of a hobby bringing like minded people together and the friendship and camradery it creates, including that in the return on investment of said hobby. I personally know none of you here or in the 951 community, but couldn't think of a better group of people to call my friends. That being said, the cost of ownership (whatever it may turn out to be, as I just got the car last week) will be worth it to me. Oh yeah, and 'Jaws' puts a big smile on my face, even just sitting in the garage (not registered yet). Maybe that will wear off over time, but I doubt it.

not much I can add to what others have said. love both of my Porsches for their respective puruposes. to me they have been worth it.

my wife is very frugal. because of her influence over 31+yrs of marriage, I have two old Porsches that are paid for. otherwise I would have a new one and be in debt up to my eyeballs. and after a few years would lose more in depreciation that all the money in both my cars.

although I have many interests, my cars have been my main hobby for quite a while. I work a lot and used to travel all the time, so with the cars at least I get to use them a lot. and also enjoy wrenching.

just got the 911 ready for another track season. still need to finish up the work on the 928 so I can get it back on the road.

I was working on the 911 recently and a neighbor walked by. we started talking about my cars. my wife was in the yard and he made some comment to her about the cars. she rolled her eyes or made some snyde remark. he started trying to tell her at least she knew where I was and what I was doing, rather than out chasing other women or drinking at a bar. She said her mother has been trying to tell her that..... Good mother-in-law.

Good Investment?.... $3000.00 car, add $5,000.00 in parts and labor, you've got a $4,000.00 car. I've got investments, these make money for me to spend on my 928. The only other car I really want is a Jag XKE, do you think I'll drive one of those like my 928? That's a funny joke! I still want one really bad. I'll need to make another investment that'll make money for parts for another toy car.

There's really no way to say it better.
