Colin, that price is what they are WORTH, but Greg's ambitious plan to lose as much money as possible in the shortest period of time- means the price will be much lower than that.
His plan (like mine), is to go broke and get in on the government bailout program before they run out of our money paying for "healthcare".....

Actually, I don't know what he will end up charging, but I don't think they will be that expensive..
I think if he promotes them as as Green Technology, he can get some Sierra Club/Al Gore money. They are, after all, an efficiency/fuel mileage improving device, thereby contributing to the greater good of mankind. And peace on earth.

That is too funny!

But given what he has said has gone into the design and scrapping 8 other setups, this is what I estimate he would have to sell them for to recoup most of his money with only making 10 sets.

We initially set out to build a set of stainless headers in the 2K range. While I haven't seen the final costs of pieces, we still are trying to stay in that range. They might have to wander up to $2500...but they won't ever get close to your numbers. Handmade stainless headers for an off road race truck are much simpler, yet cost 4-6K and they get replaced often...however, that would never work in the 928 world.

R&D is sometimes a love affair....might not make sense, but is somehow rewarding.

I suspect that you'll be able to sell every set you decide to spend the time on to make. I'll sign up for one set now.

Two sets here. I went over to visit the header fabricator guyyesterday when I was in SoCal. Impressive guy and he feels like he is participating in doing something special to be sure. It is very cool to get close to the test sets on a 928 engine. Some serious engineering resulting in something elegant to behold. Almost sad you will not be able to see them when installed.

If we can find a couple more Democrats to take office in California, I'm going to sneak into Mexico, throw away my wallet, jump the "big" fence, and come back as Gregorio Castano.

That's the easy part of my plan. The hard part is trying to figure out what to do with all the extra money that the government will be giving me...

You can go to Europe. Here we have a political agreement over general healthcare and our right political parties are left from your democrats.
Looking over the fence from Germany to the states is sometimes funny. Both ways of life are working but I think Americans think we are all communists ! ;-)

Greg or Rob,
You say you would like the crossover as far back as you can get......how far and does this just move the torque peak further up the rpm scale.?
