When the 991 turbos come out the 997.1 twin turbos may be also on the list.
Not real inexpensive but compared to the new 991's turbos they will be.

How about a 944 Turbo S. I bought one recently as an economical commuter vehicle. 25mpg, 13 second Qtrs, wicked handling, club sports, koni's, beefed up transmission and most of them are track cars so very few left that are stock. Plus low entry point. I paid $4500 for mine.

Someone probably already said this, but a Ferrari 400i/412. Not very reliable or cheap to fix, but relatively inexpensive to purchase.

I agree with the 996. The twin turbo CL600 and SL600 Mercedes can be had for prices under $35,000 and another $5,000 will bring them up to 800 hp.

Ever consider a kit car? A Nice Factory Five Cobra kit would be no joke! You can also do a Lambo Kit car, but these take much more time to get going as they require a bit of fabrication. The factory Five cars are meant to run off of a donor Mustang and swapping the parts from it to the kit. When done, it will slap the Sh%t out of just about everything on the street and look good doing it!!!

Mas and Fer F1's are two totally different animals. I've driven many Mas's and own a few Fer, not even close. The tranny issues are horrible I agree. The QP's are really nice looking but that's it. They are pigs. Slow rollers into corners with brakes you can't have faith in. I've got a few friends with the new GTS's and they seem to be happy so far again a great looking car. Unfortunately it's an expensive game if you pay 140k for a car and it's in the shop 3 months a year. Add the massive depreciation curve and you have a candle burning both ends.

I've driven the GTS on track and it sounds like you have too. The only thing that car does well is depreciate.

I'd love to have a 996 TT X40 car...or even more so a 997TT but the 997TT is not cheap enough yet for this list, but its day is coming! The 991TT will really be something when it shows up!

Hi,According to my personal view it's depend on us what's super car definition for us.But I like The top level corvettes(Z06 and the new ZR1)provide near supercar performance levels(and even beat most in acceleration numbers) at half the cost or more(figuring 150-350K for Lambo, Ferrari and 60-100K for the vettes)so it's mine choice what's your.

R129 Mercedes SL600
v12, roughly 400 hp, convertible hardtop.

14 pages? I haven't read them but surely someone has quoted (Ok paraphrased) Top Gear? You can buy a supercar for less than 10k but don't.
Yes, I too ignored their advice.
