lawsuit against porsche thrust bearing failure

Does anyone want to help me with a lawsuit against Porsche for creating a defective vehicle leading to thrust bearing failure. How many more people have to suffer?

You would have a better shot trying to put together a class action lawsuit for rod bearing failures.

That will be a tall order, but as an auto trans owning 928 fan, I would love to see them do something to prevent my cars from failing or compensate me if they do...

Class action suits that I have ever heard of that did anything but put money in lawyers pockets, which ultimately cost me money, zero.
What sort of grounds would you try to sue anyway, nothing illegal about selling defective products.

with all due respect, a lawsuit is extremely unrealistic...
got in a heated discussion with a gentleman from australia who always writes snide posts in response to some of my criticisms of Porsche for shabby support components... and other things... back in the day, it may have been better if they had outsourced to better vendors of many parts... but when you mention that, it's blasphemy...
when i mentioned that the Cayman is becoming more and more desirable for purchases and tuning, it finally came to a head.

Porsche doesn't have poor customer relations: that's because they don't have customer relations. Once the cars are built, they are forgotten. talk to the 996 owners, if you think transaxles have caused people grief...
the next engine going in my 968 is going to be a Chevy LS2.

You are way beyond any statute of limitations for a defective product or design on that one. You'd never find a lawyer to take it, and if you did, you wouldn't make it past judgment oin the pleadings - it would be tossed quick.

Can't see how you could possibly win any lawsuit against Porsche for either the TBF or rod bearing failure. Both of these events typically occur in cars that are well past warranty (TBF) or high stress racing (bearing failure). Seems most of these cars are long in miles when these things fail.
Can you imagine Ferrari or Lamborghini owners suing for such things? The 928 was and is a Super Car in the same regard. They all have fragile qualities about them in some regard. At the very least very sensitive maintenance requirements.
Now, if it were 1995 you might have a case. As it were, most engines that failed under warranty were replaced.
