Sounds good. I wonder if it can be done in two days, though. You know the old story about trying to have a baby with nine women in one month. As long as he was able to trailer home non completed car as a backup it should be fine. Then again the usual reason for a project like this stalling is a missing part. THAT should not be a problem.

Marks--

Possible to get the car down earlier in that week? I can spare days during the week but that weekend is pretty much a bust for projects. That would give time to get the frame rails stretched at a local place if necessary, and get the old driveline out on the floor using the lift, all in advance of the Big Weekend Crew coming to do the mass assembly. Drivelines come out in hours if they are removed intact, right?

If an early arrival, even like a week early was possible, I bet we could get a removal crew together so that most of the moving around of big pieces was finished before STF?

What a few people might get done during the week could easily exceed what gets done with 100+ during the weekend.

Wow, you guys are really amazing! Thanks for all the offers of help! Mark A., You are a good friend.

Thanks for the support and help!

I think I might be in, but I have to really hustle to prepare for what we might be doing. If I bring the old chassis down, we need to swap everything over that the chassis doesnt have already. obviously, mark has done this a million times and probably can do it in a few hours on his own. I guess I can talk to Mark on the details of what will be on this car and what wont. also, since this chassis is a sunroof car, can we cut (or I can later) the roof square out and replace it with the same square from a non sunroof car? If i was cutting the holbert chassis in pieces, thats probably what I would do. Plus, we have the cage to cut out. If not, Ill just have to build another one. Lots to think about .

Thanks again for the offer of all this valuable help!

Mark

Kibort it is quite easy to simply cut the roof off the wrecked car at lower windshield pillar and get it welded to the new tub , move the whole roll cage over BEFORE welding the roof on...... Roll cages are somewhat expensive ! In that way the "Holbert" car still exists ;at least parts of it ! You need to check the motor mount ears on the engine block they could easily be broken that would be a BIG problem they are brittle since it is part of the alusil upper block....

What the hell! I`m in. Bill Ball`s car got a re-engineered exhaust system on the way to OCIC. That was only a couple hrs. Think of what could happen in a couple days. I`ll pack a tool small tool box. lol
