Glad to hear you are OK, Mark and not too discouraged to get back out there.

As to the car, it went out with its boots on and doing what 928s should do. They should all be so lucky. The time and energy you have put into the car has surely been huge, but it will come together faster the next time.

Another thing to be thankful for: you aren't a 911 driver, who had invested 200K or so to get similar performace.

****, Mark! Big setback man. That sucks.

If you let it stand for one day too long you'll be out of racing for a long time. Lick the wounds and get stuck in there right away. The sooner you build the thing into another chassis, the better.

That's the only way to get back into things.

Bummer Mark. Glad you're okay. I'm sure you'll get things back together and be out there racing again before you know it. It's in your blood.

Mark,
This is so sad to hear and I really hope you're OK.

Perhaps the only comfort in this, is that a race car always dies. It could be in a museum turned into some sort of a exhibition object, it could be in a barn in the middle of nowhere or while doing what it's best at; giving it all on the race track with a passionate race driver.

Now I'm looking forward to hear more about future plans. Keep us updated!

Terrible news, glad the damage was mainly contained to the car, and not Mark.

I would say, the Holbert car went out doing what it was meant to do.

Mark,
Just got back home from vacation and this is NOT the thread I wanted to see!!

I am so sorry for the damage to your 928, BUT I am so HAPPY to hear you are OK!

Seems to be a rash of this with tracked 928s this past week!

Let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

Dave

Oh no..not the speed record car...

Good that you are ok!

"Destroyed by Civic" just doesn't sound right...let's go for "dented by Civic but fixable"

Mark,
I glad to hear you're ok, it could have been much worse. It is a shame about the Holbert car. It looks like it would be expensive to fix the car with all the panels, frame, and suspension damage. Mark Anderson is a real class act for offering you the 5 speed car for free.

Take care,
Glenn

Mark, I am so sorry about your car! I wish you the best in getting it all sorted out.

Don't think too much about it, as I did when I had my big wreck, it won't help. It happened, it is done.

I wish you the best in sorting it out. I was thinking you could fix it, until I saw the tranny tunnel, I guess the car is buckled through and through huh? I am sorry!

My heart sank when I saw the pics, I was hoping it was a joke.

Glad you're feeling ok and I hope that you're able to get the car back together.
