Wierd that the dashes seem to have no cracks! How is that possible?

What is it about Oak Grun that makes it turn chalky white?

Some of those cars look better than the ones I 've got. (at least when i got them initally)

Just because they are rusty hulks doesn't mean the sellers idea of a good price isn't nuts.

No point in shipping cross country, SoCal has its share of similar cars.

So that is where all old Porsche's go to die? Who would have thought.......

Is that a old 911 down to metal or primer next to the white 924?
If one was a collector of such fine autos, one would think to put them in a building of some sort.....

This really is a shame..........although I would like to go to this guys house with a case of cold ones and sit him down and ask "WTF???"

No kidding. If he had bought just half the cars he has there, he probably could have saved enough to have afforded a cheap metal free standing structure to house the other half.

I just can't understand the "I will buy it and fix it up mentality but then I let it sit and rot because I imagine that I will get to it someday." Especially when you have more cars then you could possibly afford to maintain anyway. Often it can be just one car, or up to some crazy number like this guy has.

There ought to be a law.

Any idea how much he might want for the '87? Looks like it might be restorable.

Add says this guy is hard of hearing so speak up when you call. Sounds like fun.

A couple people I've talked to on the east coast have told me about smaller local auctions for wrecks etc. where nobody bids on the 928's and they sell for $500 or less. Most of the west coast wreck auctions seem more centralized, larger, stricter on who can bid (dealers and dismantlers with a license only), but we still see our share of wrecks cheap, just not quite as cheap.

What concerns me here on the west coast is that for lack of bidders some wrecks are going intact to the metal recyclers.
