Interest Poll for getting new S4/GT Rear Wing
I have read many threads/posts regarding the rear wing on S4/GT's . Seem for those of us interested in having the GTS look we either painted the existing wing with various less than great results, or, purchased a poor fitting fiberglass reproduction that required drilling new holes in the car or fabricating a different mounting solution to get it to fit.
I contacted Better Bodies Motorsports in San Diego, they make a reproduction wing for pre S4/GT cars (available from Rennlist sponsors). I explained there might be more interest in buying wings from them if they fabbed one as a replacement for the S4/GT with proper/correct mounting.
BBM may be interested in maufacturing a replacement wing for the S4/GT if there is enough market demand. Besides myself, is there much interest in this?
Might be nice to remove and save our existing rubber foam black wings for posterity sake while having the GTS painted wing look we like.
If yes, are there special requests about the fabrication, mounting requirements, strength/flex issues that I should forward on to them.
I am unsure of what the final cost might be, sure number of units ordered affects that more than anything. For me the cost would need to be near $350 or less.

I would be interested in a reproduction of the strosek wing. It would have to have the correct mounting holes so it would bolt directly to an S4+ without any modifications.

Would there be any trademark infringement of Stosek's design intellectual property? I am not an attorney so I can't say if that were leagally possible.
I am interested in a stock wing replacement.

I think that the wing on Nadine's car is a huge improvement over the stock wing...
Thanks, another Dan

IIRC 928 International already sells one.

Several years ago many of us got together and bought fiberglass rear wings from Better Bodies. The mounting tab on one side was wrong, and would not bolt to the stock S4 hatch without drilling. The mount screws on one side were too close together as I remember. Of course this doesn't matter on a pre-S4, since you would drill new holes anyway. So make sure they get the mounts correct this time.

I think better than this, we should speak to CPR - the gentleman who offered to make some stuff for us.
