Because, if you do want to win some races you might have to turn-up -the boost.
Its all good as long as we are racing. Its a long season, and anything can happen.

I thought tubes that pass through the firewall are illegal for ITE...since you have to run stock "frames" It sure looks like the front tubes go through the firewall to me?

Okay I looked at all of the build pics of that machine....DAMMM that was EXPENSIVE....were talking tall stacks of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ More than kibort-rylan-bob-randy put together.... then again 2375lbs with 520whp is gonna be fast.... Anderson might have his hands full with this one? Same power but Anderson is 200lbs heavier?

I roughly counted 1000 man hours and I bet there is even more in it than that.
Heck, I had near 100 man hours in my engine build up, not counting the engine short block, and that was a slap-together-shade-tree effort. Out with the old engine and back in with the new, in about 35 hours and 2 weeks working evenings, with 1 sometimes 2 guys and lots of standing around. (when there was 3 of us).
To build a car like this has got to be over $150k.
Anderson might have his hands full, only because these cars have already proved they can run 1:31 on DOTs at laguna. But, can they last an entire race?
That is left to be seen.
There was talk of the project resembling the JGT program.Anderson did an invitational race with those crazy machines. He had no chance. we are talking all tubed frames and inboard F1 type suspension packages with insane hp numbers. This particular car might be more along the lines of the JGT300 series, while the JGT500 cars were more like todays ALMS GT1 cars as far as performance.

I'm pretty sure myself, kibort, wardlow and randy could all spank the flame mobile.

If you guys were really good, fast drivers, you'd all race a spec Honda shifter kart against me!
-Doug

I used to run around with him in TCCRA races. I dont think 1:45s at Laguna Seca buys you very much these days!
Thats when the cars were a little more like production cars with stickers on them! Duane, Doug, and a handful of guys that used to get together, had a pretty good time on the track.
I still watch the DVD "Racing Crack Pipe" ocasionally produced by Doug. Good times!!
