The "talk" is what get things done. After all its our series.

The T56 is a viper tranmission, and dont know if it could survive the mustang's nascar motor. who knows. point is, there will be some type of limitation as more and more of high powered stuff runs with us. safety will become a concern as well. I just think, and many like me, that the series has to keep a flavor of privateer, production, type vehicles. I dont think the mustang is really is in that spirit, and yours is on the fringe. . Sequential gear boxes? com'mon, that is really production like isnt it! maybe its as simple as making sure you have a stock block AND a factory transmission. I dont think we want the death traps of the v8 powered 240zs out there, now do we?

As far as what that would do for anybody...I dunno.....World Challenge cars run through the T56......same tranny in my car......they seem to be kinda fast.....I don't think that rule is gonna do anything.....

I would be careful of how much faith you put into the "our" series part.

As you saw last year....there was some "push back" to our concerns....matter of fact I think it was damn near "we originally created ITE to be a catch all for ANYTHING above 'normal' IT spec cars and that IS that....."

I think we were "lucky" that there was the pre-created BP class and the fact that David Allen was WILLING to put it out there for us.....before that, I am pretty sure it was a dead issue. My gut feeling is that YOUR (and some others) opinion of what the classes function is and SCCA's opinion are VERY far apart.....JMHO.....

....dunno.....my take on it.....

ps.....I LOVE HOW MY CAR IS ALWAYS A "FRINGE" CAR......if not an all out abomination to some.....

My car has:
Stock block
Stock heads
Stock intake
Stock tranny
Stock rear end
Stock Suspension pick up points
Stock geometry front suspension (tubular arms for weight)
Stock front hubs
Stock geometry rear suspension (tubular arms for weight)
Stock gas tank
Stock frame
Stock body panels (minus FG hood and rear deck)

It has been "relieved" of much un-needed metal for weight purposes.....but MORE THAN COMPENSATED for by the big/heavy/extensive cage you all worry about....which does NOTHING other than slow me down by the way.....and save my fat *** in crashes. It has Porsche brakes...cause the Camaro brakes wouldn't stop Rylan's car much less mine, and it has some damn nice shocks.....

AND it is 90% built by me in my garage....no race shops.....I just don't get it......sheesh......can't we all just hate on Darrell and the NSX...... :-D

you funny too!

I love razzing you and that 650hp beast.

Hey, actually, with my new motor we are pretty close now. but remember, mine is all stock. no alignment in 6 years, used tires, stock bushings, stock ECU, only a set of headers and some ford injectors as my only performance mods. oh yeah, and my stroker crank and 968 pistons!

only 2 more months of yapping until we can do some racing!

Yep, the stock song has ended. Now all I have to fall back on is my 7 year old aligment , used tires and blown out shocks.

Hey....car maintenance can BITE you....ask me how I know.....

Shoot, a $79 Pep Boys alignment, a set of tires with a manufacturer date from within the past 2 years, and some Kragen shocks and you would have had the championship.....but oh well....

removing the vacuum hose on my alternator might have given me a shot at the championship! (or a bigger battery). Tires were '07 throw aways and very good, probably as good as new, and I do check my alignment, however, a little too much rear toe in might be causing my push, which has been a little worse over the past few seasons.

I might splurg and get the free alignement assesment.
