Default 5.0L engine block for TRADE.

I have a 5.0L 1986 engine block (thicker liners) that I would like to find someone to trade with.

I am looking for an EARLY 1987 5.0L block with piston squirters.

I am proposing a straight trade, and each party takes care of there own shipping.

This would obviously include the engine cradle, and must not be a TBF block.

TIA

And if you were to sell it outright, what is your price?

Can't you have squirters put into the (superior) S3 block?

I've got one, but it ain't a 5L anymore. It's been overbored to about 104.1mm. Would need to be nikasiled and domestic pistons run.

Damnit Adam, why couldn't you have left it alone :P

I would rather run stock to be honest. Looking at the 104.1 I would be into custom pistons minimum, and already have chromoly 100mm piston rings ready to go.

No problem Colin, just thought I'd throw it out there. I'm going to do something with it someday.

We've got the '89 motor - took off the heads, the rest is intact. pjager@jageng.com
need to move it and other parts esp body panels as I want to vacate the shop we rented.

I have '87 squirter block in good condition and would be willing to change it to non squirter 100mm tolerance group 1 block which has extra thick walls. Such block would allow build of stock GTS engine using pistons I have or bore it to 104mm for 968 pistons. Using squirter block to either of these is a waste. Too bad its very likely too expensive to send blocks over Atlantic ocean.

Hey Paul,

I am specifically looking for a squirter block.

I wouldn't mind taking some of those bits and pieces off of your hands, but no offence when I had talked to you about it before your prices were alittle off the mark for trying to liquidate them.

What does this cost to have the squirters installed into the block?

What are the benefits of the S3 (USA only block right) block as opposed to the S4 and later blocks?
