Hi all. I am the new owner of this car, purchased last week on "Bring-a-Trailer". I have not seen the car in person yet, but it should arrive here in Chicago in the next day or two. I have wanted a 928 for a long time and really, really hard to pass up this one. I can't say what my exact plans are with the car, but it will no doubt see an increase in its roughly 120 mile/year historic usage.
This will be my fourth blue Porsche, in addition to a dark blue PTS 1986 911, a "Midnight Blue Metallic" 1991 964 Turbo (with Bahamas Yellow powder coated brake calipers!) and a new "Gentian Blue" Taycan 4s.
I am going to have a friend of mine who is a really talented photographer shoot the car soon, and I will be sure to post here as well as to his Instagram page. Look forward to updating everyone on the Arrow Blue 928.
There's a ton of history of this car here on Rennlist and it got loads of respect and admiration as it was discussed and showcased thru photos. It's truly an iconic example. Congrats.
Here's a pic of the car with my son and my nephew with it at the 2009 OCIC over in Arlington.
My nephew just graduated from college, my son will be a junior at Texas Tech this year.
The boys are older, but the Blue 82 probably hasn't aged a bit..
Car sold yesterday for $95,000 on BaT. A tremendous result and great to see 928's finally getting long-overdue respect and valuations. I really enjoyed owning the car for a bit, getting to show it twice and also read the overwhelmingly positive comments on BaT. This is a special car and was great to share with others that also appreciate it. A special thanks to Kie and others who know the car and vouched for its quality and condition.

Congratulations, and a great auction result but it must be bittersweet to see it go.
We had the pleasure of seeing Blue82 in person, and photographing the car, when Kie had it in Seattle-- a few hundred posts ago.
The car is absolutely stunning, a perfect time capsule!
The buyer on BAT was "robbss"-- not a handle here, no comments on BAT and first serious bidding. If you have contact, encourage them to stop by and introduce themselves!
