Here are a couple of pictures of my install. I figured that if a LEO is going to aim his laser gun at my car, he's going to aim at the driving/fog lights, so I tried to place the heads as close to them as possible.

I'm uploading a video and will post the link shortly.

Andrew,
Nice job on the install. Looks like you can't move the system between cars. I notice a delay with the Binder jamming and the V1 going off.

Unfortunatly - they cannot be moved from car to car...
my install time was a few hours. aiming takes a bit of time, but running the wires takes longer.
I use the rear transponder also and it has saved me too. Andrews install is the best place to fit in front and my rear is pictured above the plate in the avatar.
I posted about these a couple years ago - they work - having friends in law places... we get to test the toys and see what they do. the leo sees a straight broken line instead of numbers - the trick is to slow, and shut the unit down quickly...
Wire your lights so the driving beams work without the headlights... I seldom use the headlights on the 86.5.

BTW Andrew....
the front transponders save your wallet...
it's the rear one that saves your ***...
just sayin'

http://www.lidatek.com/
You will notice the compact size of the heads which will be easier to disguise or conceal from a snoopy bear peering under your front bumper.

The lidatek will jam for a few seconds and then completely shut off. If you're on and off the brakes the instant your lidatek alarm sounds and then shuts off, you have a chance. Just stand on the brakes, no matter what.

As for laws.......lots of things and actions are illegal........including some police practices that are pervasive in the revenue gathering industry, and illegally posting speed limits or placing illegal signs along roadways in illegal positions or ..... ad infinitum. On dealing with the use of a firearm against an intruder in my house, I was once advised to take care of business with one shot (translated: kill him) and make sure that if he doesn't fall withing the interior of the house, to drag him back in before anyone else arrives at the scene. We have to deal with protecting our legitimate interests in this world, particularly when faced with idiotic and illegally conceived threats against them. See below my signature.

Glenn,

As I explained in the video, I was using an ordinary IR remote control to set off the system. I was doing this from about 4 feet away, so I couldn't point it at both the V1 AND the M-25... hence the delay. In practice, there is no delay. If there was it wouldn't work.

Firemed,
When I was in FL recently I saw a LEO standing on top of a bridge shooting asses as they past the bridge. I will get the rear unit shortly. Need to cover my ***.

Andrew
Your lucky those are legal in MI..... now way in the Republic of KA....

I don't have the exact vehicle code section that bans them...but I know anything that transmits (laser or radar) is illegal....detectors are fine, for now anyway...

That's not all that is illegal in Washington, DC......common sense seems to be illegal as well......for now, anyway.

Those things are illegal here in England, however there is a certain brand of automatic garage door opener that coincidentally operates on the same frequency as the police laser jammers...

Its worth having the actual garage system in though, as i've heard of police escorting people back to their houses to inspect their systems!!

Laser jammers may be illegal, but laser-based parking assist systems are not!

This is coming from a guy who lives in California. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

All I can say, is that my V1/Blinder was going off for at least 5-7 seconds, when normally it's at most one or two seconds. Further, it stopped within one second of me turning off the Blinder. I can only assume this was becasue he could not get a reading until I turned it off, and once he got his speed reading, he focused his attention on another vehicle.

Was there manipulation? Yes, but it was on my side, not on the LEO's.
