So what was your friends point? That there is no such thing as a laser jammer? Or that the demo people were too lazy to actually use one for their demonstration?

You need to move to Texas.

We don't have "55s" here, everyone drives 75 - 80. Sell that thing on EBay and come on down ... we'll be waiting for you

Equal to a jammer is a detector with a good ear. Listen -> hear -> brake -> no ticket.

Heinrich, what brand do you allegedly endorse? Has anyone here actually tried the Laser Star that Ron posted?

Dave, (Sharkskin),

Here in Australia it is automatic disqualification of your driver's licence if you are caught with a jammer, I believe, so I'm interested in that laser-based parking assist system that you cite...

Personal experience? Or any anecdotes?

I looked at their website, and note that they also advise where to fit the park-assist on motor bikes...! Heaven knows, you need such assistance when parking your bike...

I'm sure I could use assistance on my Shark...

Cheers,

Phill.

Listen to Brother Heinrich. The last time I was on I-280 from the city to my 'burb, I encountered three (3) distinct dead on laser hits. Instantly the brakes were rammed on and I coasted by the bear without incident. I had no way of seeing them in time. I had a V-1. I also was in traffic, although light.
I am certain the bear saw the speed decreasing RAPIDLY. Listen to Brother Heinrich.

p.s.: Norcal people beware of increased use of laser around the Bay Area. &$(#)@)($*%*&$#!!!!!!!!

Had nothing to do with the jammer. Had everything to do with the Jelly filled donut.

SUDDEN ACCELERATION = $125!

What does that even mean? Isn't acceration alwyas sudden?

I can't find it in the 5 minutes I've been looking, but here's a good place to start:

I'm wondering whether they've tagged you under some discretionary statute since searching for key words "sudden" and "acceleration" don't return results.

It's also possible that it's a Royal-Oak specific statue. Still looking...

I think it's a Royal Oak ordinance.
