I'll say Howdy & Happy New Year!

Since you're back on here Ang, can you remind Sean to send the signed wing to me?

Hope you and the family (charlie included) had a great Christmas and New Years, we miss you guys down here too.

On that note, the closest we've had to a garage party was when Chuck/Brad/Brad/Joanne came over and had a few beers after the MM/PG on Chucks GTS.

So is this just an idle chat thread? At any rate, I was curious Sean, the guy from whom my 928 was recently acquired said someone from Denton came to look at it (and didn't get it, poor guy) and the seller said he got the guys card, was part of some Denton porsche club, 928doc or something. Seems to be a small and tight knit community, figured I'd ask if you knew anything?

I used to live in Denton recently, about 8 months up until June of last year(hah, it's 09 now) was a fun city, but I couldn't be a bum(waiter) and survive much longer, hence I'm down in A-town now. I visit often though, perhaps we could go grab a beer off the Square or Fry next time I drop by!

Yup, that was me. If that is the same car and I did a PPI on it. I have the full report of you want to see it. The car looked to be in good exterior shape but his price was a bit high for the work that was needed to get it up to daily use. He was looking for a mechanically good car as he can do the interior/exterior stuff. The person that was interested is a member on Rennlist and and now has 2 928's. He will chime in soon I'm sure. TIM..........are you THERE?

Korwin, what is cool about this is Tim is down by you guys and is heading up the Austin area guys. I sure hope this car works out well, it wasn't in the kind of shape that can't be brought back to life, and it sounds like you have started the process. Let me know if I can be of assistance.

I would LOVE that information!!! I knew you guys would have had your thumbs on it Yeah, the price was a bit steep, we got lucky though, we knew we had a bit of bargaining power when he told us the next day he was going to call the can academy and give it to them to tow and get a tax write-off. We got it significantly less than he was asking. So far the car seems to be doing well outside of the issues I mentioned in the "Hey I'm new here" thread I posted earlier. And of course as I take my trips up to Dallas to work on her, I'll make sure you're all informed of the condition

I'm sure that getting the ****ty gas out of had to help. The car took forever for me to get running. I'll PM you my e-mail and we can talk about what I saw. If the car is running good for you now, I can't imagine how it's going to run when you get all the bugs worked out on it.

I won't post up what I found unless Tim says it's ok to do so, he paid for the PPI. He owns the PPI. From that report I'd be more than happy to assist you on what you need to go towards. On the brakes.........wholly**** man, it either needs to run the 2 inches of rust on the rotors, or it needs an over haul. That's all I'll give ya here. I only took it around the block and was nervous.

Well, I got all the rust off the rotors, they look okay, but as far as they're concerned, the master cylinder is the problem, I can see the seals leak, and I can see where they've leaked on to the clutch master cylinder.

Getting the ****ty gas out helped immensely. Outside of the brakes, the car drives, quite well! The electrics problem still persists, but I'll try to handle that next time I'm in town. A mechanic buddy of ours said it might be the alternator R something that I'm too inebriated to correctly recall at the moment. Anyways, hooray! I can't wait to come back to town, I miss her already.
