a cup is to protect your boys... NUTS..

hack, you ain't putting 1000HP shot of NOS at 8-9 thousand revs(texas exageration) on a bone stock 928 motor more than once or twice without putting some serious dents in that motor and it's parts.
and i read where he pushed the limiter for good reasons. BUT STILL !!
i'd love to see it done. but geezus h crimminy.... he said on the other forum that at "7200 RPMS he should be doing 235 MPH"... DAMMIT......

this run should be video taped for that new show "what the *** Fridays"....

Hi

Ah..lolllll

We call them a BOX here as in "cricket box" to protect your family jewels when a REALLY hard cricket ball is coming at you at high speed lol

Hopefully ,I wont have to do it more than once or twice (hit the 1000 hp switch) as my aim is to be "The fastest Porsche in the UK"

The new Carrera GT has a top speed of 206 and a RUF 911 has touched just under 211, so thats all I have to beat.....

I am aiming for around 220..hopefully

All the best Brett

Some of you need to utilize that "SEARCH" function that is so often spatted around here. Brett is not some noob that just came up with the idea. It's people like him that take the time to research and push the envelope.

Brett has also taken a lot of **** from people in the past and has never got argumentative or insulted anyone during it. He's earned a lot of peoples respect for the way he carries himself and acts around others. Some could learn that and life might be easier for them.

Keep it up BA and keep us posted.

Come on guys. Even if it didn't blow up, and I think it would, it's physically impossible to take a stock, normally aspirated, 5 liter 928 engine to 1350hp with nitrous alone. Think about it and some of the physics involved.

Here are some hints:
5 liters of displacement
normally aspirated engine
310hp when the engine is taking in air, which is right around 21% oxygen
nitrous is 36% oxygen.

What would happen if you tried to put more than 12oz of water in a 12oz glass? Would you be able to put in more than 12oz of water if you used a firehose instead of the kitchen faucet?

Hi Sean

Thanks

I will let you all know how the fitting goes although I may have to email the pictures to someone who is a member here for them to add them...

By the way if anyone is expecting the fitting to be followed by hitting that button the next day, its not going to happen lol

It will be later this year when I have done a lot of testing and shakedowns...200 hp first, then 400, then 500 and going upwards

Thats why in one of my posts I said that I might well be able to provide a list of what breaks on a 928 at certain amounts of hp

All the best Brett

Hi

First it a 16 valve S2...4.7 ltr...

Second I am afraid you don't know how Nitrous works

The air you breathe and that goes into an engine is around 21%...you are correct, but what about the other 79% ??? thats a hint

So yes you CAN change the composition of that 12 oz glass

I have already run a 12 second quarter with a 3.9 second 0 to 60 and that was on only a mere 150 hp of Nitrous...and NO LSD...although I did leave a lot of rubber behind lollllllllllll

All the best Brett

SeanR, (if your drive-by blanket statement was in my neigborhood ) i follow Bretts post here and on his web site. read them all, all the way thru. as you can tell bickering with Brett motivates him to push harder and also helps build his confidence as well as make certain he has all his bases covered.
i've been reading this forum longer than most have been members. just refrained from posting until i actually owned a porsche.
you can look at his car and tell he is wild and likes it fast. i support him but i'm not going to stop picking on him. i mean *** a monkey, the dude is putting 1000 horses on top of a OLD stock motor.. just that fact alone is enough to get poked at, but he is also going for the 220 mark. HELLO, hand grenade.
not everything said between members is always on a post.

go Brett go!!! if you know Brett than you know he realizes most of all this is in good fun

OKAY MY LAST BREATH ON THIS ONE.
Brett, Since you are only shooting it once, may all the starts line up for you, the race angels sorround your crazy *** and bring you to the 220 mark and back down safely..
please remove anything that resembles a wing from your car, i don't want to read about you on the Darwin Awards.. Peace brother, keep in touch and keep the rubber side down.
