wow i forgot the GTS was a stroker, $35K huh, sounds like a steal to me although "Satin black" sounds not so great. I would hope its glossy! Unless they were going for the suede look.

Truly amazing a list of parts comes out after the auction.
No disrespect but the strangest auction I have ever heard of.

Burning Brakes
From what I recall Troy telling me (1AM Thursday morning), the auctioneer backed out. Troy and other of Docs friends wound up separating everything out as best they could. They busted their asses until 4AM Saturday morning doing so. No one would disagree with you Rog, but it wasn't due to a lack of trying on their part.

Yes I know that and I have the greatest respect for there efforts.
Glad it all worked out well - Doc is smiling, I am sure, at the success and that all the parts he cherished went to good homes.

Why do people have to criticize others best efforts? Saxton, PA is about as remote an area as you would find in PA. Not really near any major cities. Very isolated and quite depressed. Given what they had to work with I think they did a truly fine job. Plus all the attendees were very understanding and quite civil. No misunderstandings or hassling over sought after items. My only criticism was I wish they had started the auctioning earlier, but then I had time constraints and had to leave by 2:00.

Many thanks to Troy and everyone who put the auction together. I know I got what I was looking for at a better price than I expected, but not an embarassing price considering the circumstances. An even like this will always be a compromise between the available resources, the responsibility to get fair value for the estate, and the desires of the community. I can't speak for everyone, but my impression was that the community was treated generously and got the best of the deal and the volunteers who are taking care of the estate got the worst -- they had to work hard and still have a lot of work to do. A professional auctioneer might have made more money for the estate, but wouldn't have moved more goods or made me any happier.

the color is actually a metallic black. don't think i've ever seen another one that color.
so assuming things work out as planned, looks like the '90 gt will be up for sale. any interest ?
as far as the whole estate sale, i think troy did a fantastic job given the situation he was essentially forced into.

marine blue metallic on linen with blue piping. if you don't know the car, it has 29k miles, 29 option codes (mostly x codes) with options that i have never seen in other 928s. original sticker was 96k.

GTS color is Satin Black Metallic, same color and Interior scheme as my old 91 GT below. (the 89GT Scott bought from me was Slate Grey Metallic)
