I do have another thing to throw out here. Those of you with spouse's/girlfriends, encourage them to come along as we can arrange to have a "slow" group where they can compete amongst each other in a kinder & gentler race. Maybe you'd like to run with them Ron? J/K I have found that they enjoy it more if they do not feel they are "rolling chicanes" in danger of being rammed off course.

Are you including child care?

Me personally? No. Maybe you and your wife can trade off? I don't think K1 has a place set up for that...

Si, senor!

Someone needs to be there to make everyone else feel better about their driving skill. That would be me.

In addition to the 7 or so additional attendees Dr. Bob has mentioned, this is what I have. Looks like we'll be going to BJ's Brewery afterward unless more of you respond to the poll & that changes. I will call K1 with our reservation at the end of the day and post here about the race details and actual time.

BUMP!!

Is anyone still planning on bringing kids or G-friends? I have decided I am not driving this time around because I can't afford to risk another neck injury but want to bring my 12 year old daughter. She wants to drive but I will only let her run with a slower group. Just wondering.

Kevin sounds bitter...

Ron, you can run in the "slower" group if you want to. We can just leave that option open for everyone. The point is to have fun and try to minimize if not eliminate the rough stuff. K1 isn't too amused with it anyway.

Ron--

You can undoubtedly run safely in the B group. We'll do a little pre-race briefing about bumping and how much it slows you down, so at least most will be aware. I'm on the fence about driving with the current lower back issues, so you'll likely have company at the bar while the hotshoes are beating up on each other. I wouldn't worry too much about your daughter, really. Once she figures out that her light weight is a significant advantage, she'll be all over her timidity. Take her over for a few laps of pre-event "familiarization" and unleash the competitive spirit in her. Then get out of the way on race day, folks!

I'll be in the slow, white-haired group if I drive that day. Remember me? I'm the guy just barely pedaling fast enough to keep up with the slow-lane traffic...
