Thank you Ron

Erik,

Some of us are considering having a little practice session between the C&C and the actual event Keep this in mind & watch the rough stuff, we want everyone to be able to compete in the finale!

It's not really "practice", it's uhhhh "familiarization". Yeah, that's what it is, "familiarization". That's the ticket...

Erik--

Unless the cop paced you in a marked school zone or you were well over 70 somewhere with the black-and-white glued to your bumper, you should get the assistance of the experts here and fight the ticket. I got one a while ago, didn't bother to fight it. Then revirwed it with an expert who casually pointed out some very basic errors the officer made, like writing my name and DL# incorrectly. Stupid stuff, and that's before the technical stuff that would have caused the thing to be dismissed. I was stupid. No need for anybody to follow in those footsteps.

If you are coming down Friday evening at a reasonable hour, consider stopping in here for an alignment touch-up. IIRC, you did a quickie/eyeball toe adjustment when you got tires last. It takes an hour or so to get things spot-on. It's available if you'ld like to take advantage. Find a Glendale area place to stay and caravan with us in the morning to C&C and the karting events too.

Actually, he had me at 78 in a 55. Had me dead to rights. Thanks for the encouragement though, it's much appreciated. I already looked over the ticket, and thought about all my out's. Sometimes I guess you just gotta pay your dues. Bottom line is I just dicked up. Plus the cop was reral nice (and fast) about it. He was just doin' his job.

That is awful generous of you, thank you. I might just take you up on that. I get off work @ 3ish. That would put me down there about 5ish (probably more like 6.....ish), and I already booked a room down in hotel circle. Let me know if that still works for you. I know that's about dinner time though. I will definitely be there for C&C either way. Lookin' forward to it!!

Erik--

We'll work around your schedule. Stop here on your way, and we'll send you an hour or two later, car aligned and maybe even driver fed. The two-hour lag here will delay your arrival in OC by 30 mins or so. The 5PM Friday run through Los Angeles traffic is brutal. Let the commuters get home and cruise on down a little later.

Ron--

Let me know what day you decide to, ahhh, familiarize yourself with the facilities. We can alert Rob and see if he can put down the scalpel and band-aids for a bit. I was kinda thinking about Saturday there between events. If you want to drop her off with us there on Saturday morning she'll be fine while you go shoot your event. You may need to do her registration stuff in advance though.

Does this place require you to wear helmets? I hope so. I'm gonna bring mine anyway, if at least for the ride down

Bill, looks like three from the Pcars group will be joining us.

-----

For those on the fence about getting in a kart mixed in with a bunch of crazed 928 owners, just come on out and do it. It's a ton of fun, and you get to go drive it like you stole it with no risk to your own ride. For less than what an autocross usually costs, no tire wear issues, and you don't need to pick up cones.

You may use your own only if it is "full-face". Considering how crapped up some of the visors are on the loaners, I would bring one.
