You better be leaving him in the dust.

I wonder if he knew you were coming? He was really heading to the left as the video opens. I once saved myself with a blast of the horn at Sears Point, as I was getting squeezed into the wall while passing a car on the left, as we headed for turn one.

Ya he knew....we had strict "point by only" passing rules...only on the two main straights and inbetween 9-10.....but towards the end of the sessions I was fairly aggresive at maintainin speed to pass quickly.. :>)
Bummer the Mini actually snapped his S/C belt later in the day....

Understatement on the year right there!!! I noticed when I got home that I had that "rush" feeling.......like I used to get from a hard bike ride or workout (too lazy for that now) :>)
Your 82 Euro would absolutely rule at the track....I've driven that 928 and it handles VERY well....much better than my tired stock suspension....I'm confident that I could turn better times in the 82 than sharky......since the 82 is a couple hundred lbs lighter and they dyno almost the same.....

I ran a 2:10 with a tired old 79 with just the koni eichbachs and a muffler delete (and my tires and wheels) not bad for a car gutted like a tin car that i got for free!
try that with any car remotely as old as a '79 928!

Fummins 82 was rebuilt with the CIS Euro motor (260whp) & full S4 suspension and brakes with Bilstein shocks and 18" wheels-tires.... It drives VERY strong! A perfect race shark candidate!! Strip it out with some B1 cams....& race exhaust.....your done!!
