Now that I've had some time to reflect on the project (I know it's not 100% done, but it's close enough) I'd like to send a big thanks to the following people that really helped me out with this project. Without them, I'm not sure what I would have done.
Thanks to:
If I missed your name, I'm sorry, but thank you to you too!

Oxidization on the wire will not stop it from conducting. Where it is a problem is at the connection points.
Where we did not replace the connectors, we soldered the crimp connections to insure a better electrical connection. Also this particular harness is quite replaceable after the fact, so we were not that worried about it.
The parts were free, as I had a spare harness lying around.
Besides I got a free dinner out of it

Congrats. Lots of work but I love when you don't have to have it done under a deadline. Makes it pleasurable (for me at least). Also means a better quality job.
Car sounds great!

Do you remember when you were populating the pins in the 14-pin connector? Well you put the evens in the odds and vice versa. Starter wouldn't engage. That was a head scratcherfor a few minutes...

Yesterday I was able to tkae the car out for its first drive. Everything seems to work. No traction until 3rd!
However, the friggen oil pan is leaking (yes I have a REAL Gasket on there) and it appears the RMS is also leaking - the lower BH cover has oil dripping from it , so I suppose it could be the oil pan back there. MFer!

Hang in there...you'll sort it out. Let me know if you need help. I'm already warmed up after replacing all my brake pads and rotors this past weekend...Got 60K miles out of the old pads!
