Whoo Hooo! Heads are back!

Todd did a great job. There are a few monor pits, but only in non-critical areas.

If you will recall, my problem was on #7. Here's what that looked like - notice the red arrows.

Here's what they look like now.

And a close up of #7

I can't wait to get dirty now.

I opted to keep the valves and guides as they are... maybe a mistake, maybe not.

It gives you another reason to tear the engine apart in the future...

New Year update....

The engine is just about ready to go back in. I still have to go through an replace my AC o-rings, but I'd say it might be ready to go back in this weekend.

Is it easier to assemble the supercharged intake after the engine is in?

Given recent experience with the OEM intake I would assume with the engine sans car is somewhat simpler.

It's not that big of a deal, plus I'm hoping DR will have a slight upgrade for me... so I'm taking my time.

I think its a hell of allot easier to put the engine back in the car sans the compressor

Andrew, the black wrinkle valve covers look really good, I think I like them better then my red ones. The red lettering really finishes them off, maybe i should get some letters in black for contrast. Pretty!

It's much easier to get the engine in and out without the intake. I don't know about S4+ but 16V intakes aren't that much different with the engine in or out.

do I see that you have the steel sleeve inserts in your exhaust ports?

(hard to tell from the pics)

If so, you might remove them for a little more exhaust breathing---it's good for 2mm's worth of free porting.

could help your blower a little?
