Bill, you're going to have to drive a bit faster than you're used to, if you want to catch me... I'm planning to be checking into a hotel in the LA basin about 6-7 hours before you guys meet up for breakfast!

Okay, it's 3:25am and I've just cleared my last file off my desk. Off to get a couple hours of sleep then its off to Patterson CA.

Well. we arrived in Anaheim. Six of us made the trip together, and only 2 cars broke down on the way! Konstantin's wasn't exactly a breakdown. It sounded like his water pump had seized but it turned out to be the brand new clutch on his AC compressor. Cut the AC belt and all was good again. The only problem with that is that we have encountered weather in the mid to high 90s here. Konstatin was drenched.
Then on the way up the Grapevine, Steve B blew a radiator hose. Fortunately, it was just the upper hose had slipped off the fitting. Got make sure those clamps are tight!
Other than that, no problems except for the usual LA traffic.
We didn't get to stop at dr. bobs as we ran late due to the above mishaps, despite hitting 130 a couple of times on I-5. Too many CHP too make really good time.
