May we all be a bit more careful and appreciative of life.

RIP our fellow driver and sharkaholic. You'll be missed.

I am dumbstruck. I just met him 2 weeks ago when I bought on of the 928s that he was selling. He seemed like a great guy. This is just so very sad.

Default From Josie

Hello to all of you. This is Josie. Tarek was kind enough to let me use his account because I'm not sure if I know all the right passwords through Scott's account.

I want to thank all of you for all your kind words. It touches me deeply that you were all as fond of Scott as he was of you, and he was truly fond of you all. He deeply enjoyed bantering back and forth with you all on this site. He loved the challange of trying to figure out all of the different car problems you presented over the years. I know I haven't met many of you in person, but I feel like I have. After Scott would come home from an event he would talk for days, describing the drive, telling me about all the cars, all the break downs and new additions.

I wish he could see all these kind words you have written, I am going to try to print them out so the rest of his family and see them and know that we are not the only ones who loved and will miss him forever. As you already know, there will be a memorial service this Sunday at 2:00. I know that very few of you will be able to be there, but if you could please remember at 2PM to stop whatever you are doing and just think of him in whatever way you can and say a prayer for him. That would be my wish.

Take a minute today and hug a family member, or a friend, tell them how happy you are that they are in your life, call somebody you haven't called for a while, put aside some petty argument. Realize from this that the people we love can be taken from us in less than an instant, they need to know now that we love them, while they're with us.

Peace be with you all.

Josie

I am deeply saddened by Scotty's passing, today Jay and I sat on the side of his mountian and raised a glass in rememberance of a friend to soon gone. Several weeks ago Scotty, Jay and I enjoyed each others company, the back roads of Vermont, and a view of the sunseting over the ridgeline. A time and memory that speaks volumes as to the kind of individual Scotty was. To Josie, his family, and friends my condolences.

Default Calling for photos of Scott

I didn't think I'd be short on words as I actually do this. Josie's asking for as many photos as possible of Scott, that will be used during the memorial service on Sunday. It will show family and friends the things and people he loved and those who loved him.

Please dig into your archives and send the photos to me at tchbeir@aol.com, and I'll make sure she receives them promptly.

Thanks,

Tarek

I only met Scott a few times, but fondly remember the 928 Frenzy of a few years back when Scott was the life of the party.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Very sad indeed and all our prayers go out to his family. I was not fortunate enough to have me Scott however have heard very good things about the man as a person and one of the 928 family. God Bless you, Scott.

I was waiting for someone to say it was someone else and the news was wrong.

There are always people you look forward to seeing at the regional 928 gatherings that you don't see frequently. Scott is one of those people.

Scott will be sadly missed by people who knew him personally and the people that just knew him through this amazing thing called Rennlist. My condolences to the family.

I just saw this thread, and like many, I thought there must be a mistake. I was saddened to learn that it was not.

My memories of Scott were, probably like many, involving a potential car sale. I was talking about buying a GT he had gotten from DR and we had multiple conversations about the car, the deal, the extras, the et cetera blah blah. He was a great guy to deal with, obviously would have bent over backwards so I would feel good about the deal and I can't say enough about how fair I thought he was through the entire process. Bottom line, we just couldn't make the deal, primarily due to distance and logistics, more than anything else, but I came away from the effort thinking he was a great guy and hoping to have the chance to meet him one day.

My condolences to his family and his many friends. And as many have said. He will be missed. RIP Scotty.

Count me as another who knew Doc only through this forum, and who is also saddened by his death. I purchased a couple of parts from him, exchanged a few kind emails, and got some helpful tips from his insightful posts; he was one of the most knowledgeable guys on the forum. This is a loss for all of us.

I send my best wishes to the family and friends who are dealing with such tragic pain.

I will coordinate sending a fruit basket and using any overage to make a charitable contribution in Scott's name. I started a separate thread on this at https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/379628-scott-mohr-contributions.html

While the majority of my interaction with Scott was on 928 lists like PorscheFans, and the original Rennlist e-mail list, I did meet him at Frenzy one year in Virginia. He had a positive energy about him that made him very approachable and made you enjoy his company.

Josie - I've set an alarm in my Palm for 2:00 on Sunday and will definitely say some prayers for Scott, you, and the rest of his family. As you can tell, he touched a lot of lives in a good way.
