Default Yet another interior color code question....

Hi all,

I've searched and found several threads on interior color codes but could find no definitive list of color codes or any reference to anything near my interior color so I'm hoping someone can help shed some light. I'm hoping to get the factory name for the color.

My ('87 928) exterior color is "felsungrun" or Rock Green Metallic, code L699. The interior code is "LA" and the color is very similar to the exterior, lighter shade of green for the carpet and slightly darker for the leather & interior panels.

Anyone have any ideas or input? How rare would you think the color combo is?

It's actually quite an interesting color, very "silverish-green" looking. Here's an exterior shot (don't have an interior one yet).

Thanks!

Bill

"Rock green" is the literal translation of "Felsengrün", but that's not what it was named here in the US.

Very likely your exterior color is "granit green" with "greygreen" interior leather.

This is a very nice color combination, and good greygreen interiors have become pretty rare. Take good care of the carpet - you can't buy any more on the open market. But if you ever need a single piece or so, I have a secret source...

Grey-Green it is, thanks Nicole and thanks for the pic Rixter, here is mine for the matched pair (although I am sadly lacking the sports seats!).

There are no interior color codes for these cars. Best, is to get the color brochure for your year model on eBay.

Paint looks like Stone Grey Metallic, so interior is probably Linen Grey.

Yeah, this one was sitting in an underground storage for the last 12 years, owned by a non-PCA type guy who only drove it occasionally in the summer so condition is pretty sweet. When he advertised it he did not specify color (it looked silver in the ad) and when I called him he told me it was green and I thought....ooooh, not sure but let's check it out anyway. Turns out to be a pretty sweet color combo, glad to hear it is fairly rare. I love it!

Thanks Rixter.

Yes, but those are for color identification to specific part numbers from the PET parts database.

There are no interior color factory build codes like with accessories/options.

Wow, that interior is in great shape. Look at that dash! (Only a 928 owner would get excited about a dash.)
