Did you ever get the info re the 996 seat wiring / I am in the same situation, bought the 996 seats thinking it can't be too difficult installing them and find out it is tougher than one thinks.

So far I have narrowed the power location on the 996 seats to that #6 socket on the memory computer (drivers side), and I have the hot and ground connectors located but the black wire I cannot figure out.
