I'm away from Rennlist for a few days and find that Tim and Cheryl have joined this very rare 200 MPH club. Congratulations on a job well done!!

You are helping to keep the 928 in the eyes of the racing world. Stay safe.

Browsing through my similes collection, I knew I saved this for a reason.

So lets see.....the third fastest overall speed in the whole race.....only the 1996 Camaro went faster (213)...but it probably has 800+hp too......they even went faster than the 1990 Nascar thunderbird...just barely...but they did!!

Bill Ball managed 162mph with an overheating car.....& edco got a leisurely 126.6...since he didn't want to break his lower class tech speed...

928's sure are made for ORR

That engine, when originally built, made just a tick shy of 600 rwhp, it went 211 on pump gas. It was a 13.5:1 "mild build" 421 engine but the original owner forgot to have enough fuel for running around all week and a race and ended up sticking a valve.....ooops.

928's were built for speed, just like Dori

Cheers.....

By far the "experts" in ORR are Tim-Cheryl and George Suennen...they have purpose built ORR 928's and attend races several times a year....

Then there are a larger group of 928ers that have lightly modified 928's that also do it...typically a bolt in roll bar with 5 point harnesses on an otherwise well running 928 is all thats needed..... Bill Ball, Rich S, Edco, and many more
