Hey Guys,
Well things were running behind schedule yesterday but Rich and I were able to get in 2 runs. We averaged 140 and hit 158 in the speed trap it was really fun to run the car that fast for an extended period. Last night was the blender party “Gas Powered blender” this morning we drove the course with Tim & Cheryl Dey. Had a nice breakfast in Austin, well the drivers meeting in 30 minuets and then the gang will head off to dinner.

Nice video. Thanks Matt. I don't want to alarm you, but I couldn't help noticing the scenery on the right side of the car is coming at you a little faster than it is on the left side.

Hey Charlie,
Yep must be that wide angle lens
defiantly having a good time. Hopefully will have some additional video of tomorrows race. Our class “130” has 12 cars, total for the entire field is 86 cars. Rich is working on the game plan for tomorrow, so we are set I fueled the car, added some air to the tires “Will adjust it down in the morning when they are cold”.

Looks like a pretty normal drive to me... Now imagine that in Germany, some drivers do that every day WITHOUT any of the extra safety equipment required for this event. Amazingly, the vast majority of them still live...
Have fun, guys!!!

This video is of a very straight area of the course, probably much like the Autobahn with perhaps a little narrower surface and no guardrails and some nasty ditches running just off the edge of the road. At the end of the video, Matt was just about the enter an area called The Gap which has about 20 significant turns in 6 miles. Hopefully Matt will post some footage from just where he ended the practice film through The Gap.
They should have finished the first leg by now and be getting ready for the return run.

Hello Nicole!
Hey, hey my dear![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I prefrer to drive on the Autobahn @ optimum 928 cruising speed (120-160 MPH). Yes I'm not required to wear a helmet or safety gear, I actually prefer to listen to Bach or Beethoven![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
