I had a great time driving the Dragon with Andrew O, Brian, Tim Murphey (sp) and Z. Those guys sure can drive.

If anyone is interested, there is a pretty good twisty road very near to the hotel. If you take a left outr of the Best Western parking lot, then take a right at 105, then take a left at 221 N you will have a great time. It goes for quite a ways. I found it after making a wrong turn trying to find my cabin.

Just got back from SITM (had to do a day trip). I got to Grandfather Mt. at 9:00 AM (left Raleigh at 0530, yawn). The weather was overcast bust very pleasant. By Wally Plumley's count, we had 99 928s from 25 states. I've been attending this event for years, and have to aggree with Dave Robert's assessment that the cars just keep looking better each year. Kudos to everyone who has put the time and effort into preserving these wonderful cars, and thanks to the companies who help us do it. Also, thenks to the 928OC for thier comtinued support.

Made it just in time for the raffle today... With twin 6 year olds (one of whom came down sick halfway here) the trip from Atlanta took about 8 hours. Had to forego the fun run and dinner, which was just as well because my HCV "bypass" let loose on the way back from dinner.

Met some really nice folks during the brief time we were at The Meadows and more in the parking lot of the Smoketree Lodge just after I finished up with the HCV. We are going to make it out to 928 Specialists tomorrow and try to salvage something more from the trip - do they have an HCV in stock?

I have a whole new level of respect for this platform after doing 50 miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway (damn you Mapquest!) today. Wow.

I don't have much in the way of pics, I gave the camera to the kids so I could get moving. My daughter came back and informed me that she found "The most awesome shark in the world" and that she had pictures to prove it. I found the pics on the camera just now. LOL
