Thanks to Specialists and others for the door prizes. Last year I won a calender, this year a carbon fiber strut brace. WooHoo! I also won a Miller Lite cap at the Tiki bar at Best Western. Very nice. I should've bought a lottery ticket.

Too funny that you say that. I was just on the phone with Andrew and was telling him that SITM is like Christmas around here every year to me. The only downside is after you "open" the presents and everyone leaves it is a little depressing for me. All the work and the stress on the build up to the event and just as I get used to having everyone around for a few days... POOF ... everyone has left and I miss the pitter patter of little feet and the Thump, Thump of so many V8s. :-(

Default Heinrich's Photos

I took several hundred photos. Some were excellent, some were ok and some were wasted due to driving while snapping. Here are a lot of the good ones IMHO:

Just so we're all on the same page: Any pics of the speedometer showing erroneously high speeds were taken on wet roads at under the speed limit, while the wheels were slipping, causing the speedometer to incorrectly indicate high speed. At no point did we exceed posted speed limits.

What happens when you hit the "report inappropriate content" button at the bottom of the page of pics?

Great meeting you Heinrich - great that you made the trip out east (where it doesn't rain?). Beautiful GTS! With it's rarity, I guess if I wanted one just like it I would probably have to wait for you to sell it.

I feel the same about your pics... you got three of my '80's wingless butt on the skyway! Those are great pics that I'll have printed and framed on the garage walls in a few hours!

I don't want to get off topic but here is what Eric and I did on Monday on our way home from SITM. and a link to the rest of the pictures if anyone is interested. 928 content: We drove our 928's to Mammoth Cave National Park. http://picasaweb.google.com/928drvr8...33748727107842

Two other things here....

1. The Roberts' house/compound is awesome! You have a beautiful chunk of the planet there. But you probably know that!

2. Did anyone get any unwanted presents from the law on the trip to or from the event? I was amazed that we could travel in a fairly large group from Texas at such a high rate of speed for about 2400 miles with no unwanted attention other than some "road rage" from a couple of fast lane squatters on I-40.

Heinrich, I really don't think you should refer to Jeannie as "the beast"!

Ernie I was gonna leave well enough alone, but your license plate frame should read: "Don't hate me because I am beautiful"
