This one's for you, Checkmate.

Speed yellow at night. Wish I had remembered to pack a mini-tripod for this night stuff.

Again, what an adventure to do SITM again. I had 2 new recruits Adam ('87 5 speed) and Bill ('85 euro 5 speed) that took the plunge and are lifers now.
Great to meet up with John Cho, Glen Minucci and Dan (lead foot) before BRP. Great bunch of guys.

Great to see old friends and new ones too, met Kim (riskybiz) and H from Seattle too.

The weekend is definitely too short, and I left thursday am and got back monday pm.

My 911 would've loved the mountains and the Dragon. The only thing the 928 does better is the 1000 mile drive to and from SITM. I'd woulda been hospitalized if I tried that in my Targa! Nothing beats cruising the highway at 100mph in a 928.

I've added some more names of friends I enjoyed meeting for the first time, I know there are others I'll add as I recover fully ... Gio, Checkmate, how did we manage to miss each other??

Heinreich! Yes it was cool meeting you as well.

I'm finally starting to remember names and faces this year. Pretty cool!

Ew928! Great shot! Thanks!

Some pics from the trip to and the impromptu gathering in front of our hotel in Alcoa, TN. 8 thirsty sharks, Risky's happy crew, a Shelby we passed a couple of times, and the Dragoneers. I must've been inebriated at the hotel; I didn't notice how bright Jim's shoes were that night.

Make that 4! Thanks again Jeannie and Dave for a great weekend, and the Texas crew for welcoming Eric and I to tag along for the for the Dragon run and the subsequent hi-speed convoy to Banner Elk... that was awesome. Blowing by that weigh station with the troopers sitting there was priceless. I also loved how everyone (for the most-part) moved over and gave our 20~ 928's right of way in the fastlane as we hummed along on I40.

Ben,

I was talking about you, Tony, and Darien. I don't who the heck that cool looking guy with the sunglasses is, I think he was a party crasher. :-)

Seriously my eyes suck lately and I didn't recognize you, especially with that serious look on your face. I am used to seeing you smiling all the time!!

BTW, the 86.5 looks better and better every time I see it, keep up the good work!!

Don't mistake that look for a scowl Dave, i was listening intently as you introduced your sweet new Airbox replacement. Then again that picture might have been taken at the moment i was discouraged to learn it won't work for the early 32's with those wide-assed lunchbox plenums. I am sure you'll rectify that though!

You really hooked Heinrich up with a really nice GTS, I wish you could have seen how giddy he was as he was showing it off to me outside your Garage Sat. night. I love that color combo too.

It was like Christmas time at the Robert's.
