Mebbe we should dub John V's silver monster racer "The Grave Robber."
As opposed to Mark K.'s "Dumpster Diver."

fought in France in WWII and he was specifically told him he could NOT cut any firewood
I believe in later wars that it was considered part of the game for soldiers to take extreme measures.
On a similar topic I was once in a church in North wales (called I think the marble church) & I was struck by the huge number of graves of Canadian soldiers from 1918/1919.
Seems that after WW1 was finished they got shipped to wales temporarily but could not get transport back to canada.
It was an exceptionally cold winter, they had inadequate heating and there was also a flu epidemic so most of them died....
I think Joe had a strange mixture of good and bad luck.
I have spun cars more often than i care to remember but I never found
a tree.
That was Joes bad luck.
His good luck was that somehow he struck at a strange angle so the
roof panel was whole which was good for his head. Also good luck was
that the 928 is so strong. I do not mean to play down Joes injuries
but for example a neighbors daughter hit a tree about a year ago. Do
not remember the car type but it was one of those little 4 door hot
hatches.
Police estimate was that she hit at 60 mph. The front seat passenger
was killed outright and she and the rear seat passenger were in
hospital hovering between life and death for over 2 weeks. They were
under treatment for over 6 months and the rear seat passenger still
has problems arising from his head injuries.
