do i have a legit concern about a transaction on here?
I bought a set of wheels from a well known member on here a month or so ago. in the picture of the wheels he sent me they showed center caps. since then i got the wheels with no centercaps. the seller had no mention that he was not going to include the centercaps. i sent him an email asking where the center caps were, and he said since i had told him they were going on a different brand of vehicle that he thought that i would not need them. then when i asked for them he sent me an ebay auction link to a set of center caps . i think i am right and he thinks he is right...what do you guys think. i dont want to mention any names i just want a popular opinion.

If the photo shows center caps reasonable to assume they were enclosed unless the wheels show tires which were not included. if the pictiure showed the wheels ON A CAR then you obviosly did not expect the CAR to come with the wheels.

i just don't see how all this was that much money in question to begin with.
he bought 100 dollar rims and now he is upset, because the 10 dollar caps are not with it? don't make me laugh
it's not exactly a 2k supercharger we are talking about.
did he get the lugnuts with em...? i bet not
well, i hope i didn't give any ideas just now, then.
...that could cause a whole new thread.
what paul said is right.
'Nothing constructive will come out of this. This is a private deal that should be dealt with privately.

and i leave it at that

I think all transactions are pretty much the same, no matter where they start from and who is involved. You need to make sure that all of the details are taken care of and be very specific about what you are buying or selling. As a buyer, you should be careful to spell out exactly what you expect when you purchase the item. If you bought wheels and expected the center caps, you should have spelled that out. The lug nuts are in the picture. Did you get them? Doubtfully. If you bought wheels from a wheel supplier or from Porsche, you would get just the wheels.

Classic case of communication between buyer and seller gone wrong. He or she doesn't have much to do with it.
Many people think these winter wheels are truly ugly but they seem to be popular in VW crowd.

The ad should state caps included or not. In the absence of that it is correct to assume they are included.
It's silly to talk about the car and relax about the lug nuts as well. The wheels themselves are incomplete without center caps.
And it doesn't matter if the seller is "well know" or "respected" on this list.
