This thread was interesting up to the point where I learned that center caps should not be expected to come with wheels, even if they are pictured in the ad.

Then it became a sad pi$$ing match...

Just remember that Porsche owns almost 30% of VW now, and VW will help Porsche to make awesome cars in the future. So don't scare off our brothers and sisters - they might one day move to our beloved marque. And then maybe they'll drive up in a modified 997 turbo that makes us look as slow as snails.

Of course, that won't change the elegance of our 928s, but that's a whole different topic...

Out of stupid stupid stupid curiosity I googled vortex and got:

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3085636

Heinrich, if you do go over there, don't drop the soap.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...NOW THAT'S FUNNY. What's with all the lame trolls anyway!

Now... be nice and take your ricer talk somewhere else to whom may actually care about your plight of the missing caps...O'h...and all the rice talk stuff. Thank You.

PS...notice the large curb feelers I suggest in protecting those...ah...those wheel thingys!

It's not how fast you can go from 0 to 60...it's how you look when you arrive!!!

Hey, "Thatguy" .... I have done further research into your query on seating: until your development progresses to allow a break from the keyboard, hold off on the Recaros: Invest in one of these, which clearly is more suited to your needs ....

I think this thread is great for Tim. After spending a whole weeks paycheck on smiley's, he's getting to use them ALL!

I was ok just reading all this till this comment. Fabio, Heinrich & Mark were doing just fine with this a$$hole of posts from two people who do not even own porsches nor are paying members of this site! Seems like misunderstandings about center caps is something that can happen. I do not know Scott, but I have only heard great things about him & how he treats people.

You were being treated pretty fairly by most on here and considering you were bashing a long time member. Multiple people offered them for free & that wasn't good enough, so what the hell is your purpose here?? Just to come here and argue with us & attempt to spew your venom? I wonder what the reaction would be if one of us came to your VW site & did the same?? Would multiple people there offer free wheel centers?

I say to you both, go back to the rock you crawled out from under. Maybe your GTI is fast, your Jetta too. My 17 yr old daughter drives a '99 VR6 thats a pocket rocket. And btw, it looks a hell of a lot better in its stock form than the bastarization that you've done to your car! It aint all about getting from point A to point B. There is something to say about how you look once you get there, ok??

My main reason for a reply is about your comment about a yellow car with yellow wheels... While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, Brad's OB shark is an awesome looking car & one of my all time favorite sharks. I'll also bet there are some Saleen owners that would agree that you're an idoit too. Thinking all parked side by side, your GTI would not even get a second glance compared to these cars, even if people didn't like the color matching wheels.

YEA! What Mel said. And at least the yellow wheels have the CORRECT SIZE TIRES!!! (BTW, Mel - you HAVE met Scott...at SITM when you and your son came up a couple of years ago)

I like how soccergk enlists her little myspace buddy from across the country to come in and spew venom. I especially like his pics. (Were we supposed to be imressed with the street-level shot of the 205's on 9.5" wheels?) Then - he even betrays her by TOTALLY hijacking the thread.

ThatGay would probably ride a little PepBoys 90cc motorscooter into a biker bar and tell them their big V-twins suck. I GUARANTEE....even if invited - he wouldn't DARE to show up at a shark gathering in person....NOR would he run ANY of us in ANY type of race. (Tho - his car would probably take an OB in a 200' dragrace! nothing else, tho).

Randy must have been out drinking with Normy....otherwise - I think this would have been abyssed SEVERAL pages ago.

I already have both seats, as the ones posted in the car are the recaro's and the ones in my living room are the konig's...

You don't even know what i have done to my car so lets just step off right there...

I don't mind color matched wheels, just not yellow ones on yellow cars. It's up there with red wheels on a red car! UGH. Yes that saleen looks like *** too. "There is something to say about how you look once you get there" Ok!

Just backing up my friend, just the same as you clowns were doing.

The tire comments are getting old, thats how i want the tires on the car, thats how they are going to be.

I wouldn't betray Heather, she was laugh her *** off...

"shark" get togethers? hmm, dont know what that is, maybe a 928 is called a shark?

Thanks for the kind words folks.

I always seem to get trapped in these loose-loose situations. If Heather Z. had approached me like an adult this never would have transpired. But she jumped my *** out of the gate. No matter what I would have done she would still have that welfare mentality... "I'm owed something". I guess that is the mentality of the new Xbox generation.

My offer still stands, pony up for a Rennlist membership or make a worthwhile donation to the Humane Society, and I'll not only send the caps but I'll also be a bigger person and send a nice parting gift.

Again, I'll go on record in saying that it was never about money (as I surely lost my *** in sending her the rims, not to mention the wasted time and anguish reading her buddy Paul's gibberish), it's not about some stupid center caps (of which I might have 6 sets lying around), it is about treating people with sensibility.

This is the very last I'll say to this trivial matter. Put up or shut up.

You have to deal with adults to get that kind of interaction.

Backing up your friend is nice, no issue there, except that you really don't understand what is going on. You seem like a nice young guy, seriously. Try to look at it more objectively, and you'll realise that we're not backing up a friend (I'm not) .... we're telling you honestly, if you buy wheels and they aren't stated to include anything else, you will receive wheels. And we're also saying, you are in danger with those tyres. And we're also saying, NEVER implicitly trust a friend. Friends make mistakes, they can be a-holes to others, they can be crooks and liars. Why would you come risk YOUR reputation for a friend here, and get yourself pissed on by all these people? Because you're a friend? Sure ... but Dude, look at the facts. She isn't being reasonable. Even offered FREE caps she is still PMS-ing.

See my point?
