Default Chinese "Bosch " fuel pump

Has anyone bought any fuel pump on Ebay from the fuelpumpking?
The one he sent me sure looks like Bosch but with no markings so I assume they are a Chinese knock off.
I should have known there was a reason they were cheaper.

A rose by another name in fuel pumps will probably fail. That's the one part that you want to have made by an oem supplier that's not afraid to put their name on it. Even the world of aftermarket hot rod fuel pumps with big names on them is plagued by pump failures when used in daily service, they just don't have the r & d resources of Bosch to guarantee component life.
My personal preference is Walbro, they're the oem supplier to several companies and their pumps are even more efficient than Bosch, they draw less current for a given flow and are smaller too.

I once bought a Rolex for 100 bucks on the street in Johannesburg. Only later did I notice the "o" in "Rolexo" carefully scratched off the face

I was thinking Walbro myself, but I am kinda curious about some of the new fuel pump designs that include active pressure regulation and brushless motors.

Shame on you, Mark, going for the cheap stuff on eBay instead of getting your parts from one of the Big 3...

I just think it shows how Mark Anderson understands what his Job is, in that he is out there almost every week looking for better buys on parts that we need one source for. On numerous separate occasions, I have seen Mark Anderson check the "market" when prompted and see if there was a lower price he could offer.

We haven't addressed the important matter, does it or doesn't it work?
