If not a 928 then what?

I've seen Cobra replicas on the track and at A/X, and I've got to say that watching doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I'm sure they are a blast to drive, but they really look like a handful.

Pity I didn't get to see this drive off and listen to the motor.

There's a twin turbod one in our neighborhood. Showed up at a local PCA skills day, but didn't run. As can be seen by Earnest's pic, plenty of rooom for all the plumbing.

In 86 I caught up to a Pantera on M14 @ 125mph in my 944 (flat out), he looked at me and floored the sucker.
Giant ***** of blue smoke and he was out of there! What a great car!

Interesting to see the number of agreements with a Pantera
I guess it happens with all types of cars though... looking at the pictures Ernest posted of the Pantera GTS... the wheels don't go with the car/flares at all in size and looks... and why would someone put THAT wing on the rear of such a beautiful car... just like animal rescues, there should be sports/exotic car rescue, that car needs to be rescued and given a good home... I'll volunteer to foster it BTW

Here is a stunning beauty for sale locally for $54K.
A 1979 Aston Martin Vantage Silver with a red interior.
Other than that I'd say I've always loved the body of Challengers & Cudas. Almost purchased a triple black 70 Challenger about 7-8 years ago with a 383ci. Almost perfect example but I just couldn't get my finances in order.

I can scan this if anyone is interested and post it up tomorrow.

But I seem to recall they gave the nod to the Shark because it was the better overall bargain ($$$). The Aston Martin beat (albeit not by much) our beloved Shark in most of the performance categories, but the more subjective categories (ergonomics amenities etc) and price tipped the scales in our favor.
