Hey 928NOOBIE - Luckily I didn't experience what it sounds like you went through! To be honest, looking at my booster pics, I'm amazed how well the car was braking: It actually stopped fairly well, but brake boost kind of died near the end of the brake pedal travel...so obviously far from ideal, and I was probably on borrowed time.

And of course, after wrestling the booster out of the car, my clutch master also looked questionable, so" as long as you're there"...scope creep to now include the full clutch hydraulics...

My thanks to all of you that have posted on these topics, as I've read countless posts and they have been very helpful...and a special shout out to MrMerlin, who's been VERY patient with my questions! Thanks all!

Make sure you measure the length of the internal piston of the clutch master BEFORE installing it and filling the system with fluid. On the older cars (like my 81 Euro S) it has to be shortened by about 6mm (to lengthen the travel) in order to be able to push enough fluid to fully disengage the clutch. Lots of info and specific measurement in my "Added an '81 Euro S" thread. I actually installed it the way it came and had to remove it to make the correction - you don't want to do that.

Who wants a mis-proportioned, front wheel drive, 928 clone? Brazil does! They even had similar wheels, but in a convenient 4x100mm pattern.
