Turns out that 2024 is the year that I'm re-organizing and relocating every 928 part I've accumulated since 1989. Hundreds of boxes over a number of locations. It's like discovering them all over again!
Finally I have the guts to show the finished interior... Or almost finished anyway. The back centerconsole-rip will be repaired after the summer and the passengerdoor will be totally overhauled at the same time. The black original option porsche carpets are a memorablia which I kept from my first 928 from some 22 years ago. The beige carpets underneath are almost like new, even the driver side one. As I have stated before I'm going for a very nice used state, not pebble beach condition. Now it's a really nice place to listen to the V8-bumble or some eighties cassette tapes...
Thanks. It's the original interior so that's what I had to work with. I'm really glad it wasn't more brown to be honest. If I could choose freely I would have picked a black upper part like black dash, middleconsole and beige/tan underside like seats, carpets etc.
Went to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart this morning. You know, I can overlook they only had one 928 at the museum. And I suppose I can get over the fact they didn’t have a single 928 related thing in the gift shop. But this?
